Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

Are you still using the Super X-fi? Apparently creative pushed out an update recently that solves the issue on the S10.

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

Given the note 10 had the same issue with its initial firmware which was subsequently fixed, and that the S10 has pretty much the same codebase as the note 10, I would say just be patient for a month or two and it should be fixed on the s10

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

I switched today to a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. Out of the box, same issue as the S10+. However, I updated to the latest September 1, 2019 security patch and the issue is solved, at least for the Creative Super X-Fi. Maybe you guys can try holding out a while longer for the fix to reach the...

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

Has anyone tried on the Note 10 yet? I figure they would've spotted this bug when removing the 3.5mm jack

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

Ok so I got my hands on a Super X-Fi amp. No issues with the default 1.16 firmware, but when flashed to the latest, 1.44 (I think?), I get the distortion/ phasing noise. The funny thing is that it goes away when i use the USB Audio Player PRO app. Have you tried that?

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

How often does the crackling happen for you? I got some minor distortion when trying the fiio k3 at a local store at the start. Thereafter no issues at all. Using the ATH-M50 on the ASD firmware

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

Tried again with a Xiaomi earphones and an ifi micro BL just to be doubly sure. Didn't hear any popping or crackling sound. Just to be sure, it intensifies in proportion to volume? Because the area I tried wasn't that quiet. But I did not pick up any hint of a static or popping sound. And the...

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

Well just checked on Reddit and it seems someone has the same issue on the ASCA firmware. Perhaps it's no harm sending the DAC in to Samsung to have a look. At least the tech support in NZ seems to know what he's talking about.. in Singapore they would just tell me to reset the phone and say...

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

ASCA is a more recent update. Perhaps it may have resolved the issue?

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

That's strange. I'm not sure why I didn't experience the issue then. Is it something quite obvious or rather subtle? It should manifest itself within 5 minutes right? My firmware version is the ASCA update. Has yours been updated?

Audio clicking issue with Samsung s10+ and USB dac/amp

I saw a similar thread on Reddit so out of curiosity I decided to bring my ath-m50 to my local store to test. I tried the fiio q1 mark ii, btr 3 as well as the ifi nano bl. Played each for about five minutes but I didn't hear any static or crackling sound. Is your S10 the exynos or SD variant...

Does a ~0.1db channel imbalance matter?

Thank you all for the replies. My IEMs, vsonic vsd2s are slightly imbalanced to the right as well even after changing it twice. Im currently using a xiaomi iem that is similarly unbalanced to the right. However the imbalance seems more prominent when I test it using the s6 (I tested by closing...

Does a ~0.1db channel imbalance matter?

Thanks all for the replies and assurance! I am using a sound blaster z. Any idea how the resistors perform? Sorry I'm not that well versed with the technical details. All I know is that for most of my other audio equipment they are evenly matched or 0.05db mismatched, usually with the right...

Does a ~0.1db channel imbalance matter?

Thank you. So is this 1% difference material to our ears?   Anyway, for RMAA which figure should I look at for channel imbalance? I see that while frequency response shows a 0.1db variation, the variation for intermodulation distortion + noise (swept frequency) is about 1.5 db. Is there any...

Does a ~0.1db channel imbalance matter?

Thank you. What then could explain this imbalance? It's just a little disconcerting that my cheap(er) phones perform better than my spanking new S6.

Does a ~0.1db channel imbalance matter?

I got 1/10 even for the 0.5db test :\   I was just wondering if there's a test that places like the right channel 0.1db louder than the left? Or any software that I could use to adjust gain by just 0.1db?

Does a ~0.1db channel imbalance matter?

Hi all, I have a Galaxy S6 that seems to be about 0.1db louder on the right channel than on the left. To test this, I did RMAA analysis and found that the frequency response curve on the right channel is 0.1db louder. Is this the right way to measure channel imbalance? (I tried using a...

    Vsonic VSD2 / VSD2S and AN16 Impressions Thread

Has anyone noticed any sort of channel imbaalnce with the VSD2S? I returned my first set because the right side seemed slightly louder... my second set has the exact same issue!

Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge Sound Quality

I noticed that using RMAA, my S6 has a channel imbalance of about 0.1 to 0.11db. Is that any cause of worry or I wouldn't notice any difference at all? Thanks!

    Vsonic VSD2 / VSD2S and AN16 Impressions Thread

The included tips (on both the AN16 and the VSD2S) were the worst I've come across. None of them fit me well, especially on the left ear. I ended up thinking both units were defective since the right side appeared louder.   Until I tried my other earphone tips. Virtually every other earphone...

    The Xiaomi Pistons Thread 2.0

Yes, I'm aware that they use different drivers. It's just that I thought sensitivity may had a little bit to do with it, but hey, I'm not very well-versed with the technicalities.   I was in the process of writing my review (on my website), so I wanted to know whether the Rose Gold and the...

    The Xiaomi Pistons Thread 2.0

Has anyone noticed the slight difference in specs between the Rose Gold, Silver and Crystal Pink variants?   If you take a look at the specs here: http://www.mi.com/huosai/params/   The Rose Gold has sensitivity of 93db whereas the other two are at 97db.   Other than that the specs seem...

    Hisound BA100 IEM Appreciation Thread.

After using the BA100 for about two weeks now, the sound has grown on me somewhat. But I can't help but notice the right side is usually slightly louder than the left--which is surprising since you guys are championing the low channel imbalance.   What I hate though, is the cord. It's way too...
