VERISONIX-IN2UIT-VERISONIC
So these are back again: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/electrostatz-hi-res-hybrid-dual-driver-headphones/x/13522536#/ Picked up a pair for $69 and they came in a box labeled with he in2uit branding, which prompted my search here and discovery of this thread. Some interesting 'upgrades'...- TigreNegrito

B&W P7 - Custom Earpads. Your Thoughts?
You might check this link out: https://www.innerfidelity.com/content/sumptuous-and-sonorous-bowers-wilkins-p7 The review shows the details on the ring and how they impart acoustic flavors to the overall sound, so it's more than just a plastic ring. There is a company on Amzn that sells...- TigreNegrito

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Yes, Eudis, I was thinking about that as I installed the Lawton tune-up... I forget exactly what I had in mind when I saw it, but basically getting some kind of seal between the drivers and the frame to which the pads clip in. That's not an issue on the Thunderpants because the fabric/leather...- TigreNegrito

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Same happens when I cover the bass ports on my Thunderpants, which is why some of the various T50RP mods have cups with more ports on them (more bass and soundstage, I'd think). But a direct comparison to those cans sitting on a wood headphone stand with the cups completely sealed (as they...- TigreNegrito

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Those Dekoni pads have the same inner dimensions. I needed more space for my big ears, so I went with Lawton, also installing the tune-up kit while at it. Lawton pads have a circular inner diameter vs. the stock 'D' shape. Much nicer fit, never gets warm/hot even with hours of listening...- TigreNegrito

CEntrance DACmini DAC/Amplifier Official Thread
Read through this thread a bit... the thread starter talks specifically about the pairing of HD 650's with this amp (post #21). Unless you're looking for a dedicated desktop DAC/Amp, you might consider CEntrance's forthcoming DACportable. I've been very happy with my PX, though as...- TigreNegrito

Centrance Hifi-M8 and Hifi-M8 LX (8 versions!) impressions thread
For the first couple of weeks I was using a 4s (Verizon carrier) with bluetooth and wifi enabled, in addition to the 3G radio. When a call came in and interrupted the music, I'd switch to the bluetooth headset for the duration of the call, then go back to the music via headphones/IEM's (1/4"...- TigreNegrito

The Centrance HiFi M8 thread
No, but I do use M8 as a DAC and 'line out' to the Fiio E9 when I want to more comfortably drive my Thunderpants. Don't get me wrong, the M8 will power them well on its own, but for lack of a better description, my ears get fatigued when I listen with that set-up, whereas they don't when I'm...- TigreNegrito

The Centrance HiFi M8 thread
It's a Class A amp, so the power cycle lasts the same regardless of what is hooked up to it. I get about 6 hours if I have a single pair of IEM's or even if I'm running two similar full-size cans. Rumor has it that even if you weren't running anything, but the unit was switched on, it would...- TigreNegrito

First impression is fabulous! Favorite perk so far is the completely black floor - no noise when there should be no noise. Great sound out of iPhone 4S as source - hearing details in tracks I've listened to hundreds of times that I wasn't aware were there. Drives CIEM's well (obviously) with...- TigreNegrito

Just got a little box from FedEx... Topping off the charge first - nice power supply, Michael - that thing is nearly the same size as the M8! I peeked over at CEntrance site and saw the notice about the in-house firmware update later this year and that's not a problem for me. One...- TigreNegrito

Review: Denon AH-D1100
Sounds like a beefier mod than mine, so hopefully they will hold up as intended. As far as my mod is concerned, I haven't noticed any new cracks, but the creaking noise has returned, and while that is only noticeable at lower volumes, I tend to listen to most music that way, so it's kind of a...- TigreNegrito

3rd Annual Austin, Texas Spring Meet - March 2nd, 2013
Glad to see this is taking shape... forgot that MT told me about this last fall. May be able to get down there, depending on how bad my ears are ringing after the Yonder Mountain String Band the night before up in DFW. Because, you know, those guys tear the roof off and all.
