Are they as comfortable as velour? Surprised they make such a difference from pleather.

You have no family members or friends with windows machines? Boot camp on the Mac would probably work too but it's easier to just ask a family member...and let them experience a Mobius at the same time

Would love if you could mention why the G5 or your other headphones are better...e.g. better imaging, bass, 3D, etc.... Ditto what you said about comfort though..I wish the earcups we're bigger.... My old Sennheiser HD590 are way more comfortable with the velour pads...less clamping force and no...

That sounds like 7.1 mode to me vs. hires audio mode...7.1 mode has less bass to my ears...

Totally agree with this. The random 100% volume thing drives me bonkers. Ditto the unexpected power draw if plugged in on USB...it should just tap USB power instead of its own battery. Being able to save and load configs from the app would be extremely useful and having it save the last config...

I second this. For folks who are reporting issues, it's important to mention how you're using the Mobius because it has so many ways to use it. I find the Aux volume too low and it sounds bad compared to USB and BT. I'd never use it unless I had to... P.s. the issue with windows 10 default...

The next firmware version realllllly has to NOT set the default volume at 100%. Geez... My ears are blown out again Tried the aux cable on a macbook (totally not worth it BTW...amplification is too low compared to USB), then plugged in via USB cable without turning it off and made the mistake...

Have you ever Bluetooth paired them? They're supposed to shut off when there is no signal but I don't think they do. I just power off the Mobius when I don't use it and the battery seems fine...

Had some more listening time after coming back from a trip. I take back what I said about lack of bass... It's decent in 2 channel mode. 7.1 lacks bass though ( I think someone else mentioned this too). Could use proportional EQ so it's bumped higher at lower volumes though. Also checked my...

Yes because both would look for a host. The OTG cable let's the Android device be a host. I have a USB-B OTG adapter so I can't prove this unfortunately.

For Android devices, I think of OTG as letting the device "host" a USB device. I don't believe you can just plug the Mobius because the Android device usually connects to another host (your laptop/desktop).

Only when you first plug it into a Windows PC or MacOS machine AFAIK.

It might have been still bluetooth paired w/ your phone. I noticed that this morning when I was trying to play a video on my phone and thought the Mobius was off (no lights or anything). The phone had no speaker output. Looking at bluetooth settings, it was still paired w/ the Mobius. I...

Anyone's system crash using the Mobius? Second one I've hit... This time on windows. Yanked the Mobius and everything didn't work except mouse movement. Other time I saw this was on a MacBook but that was a hard lock up without mouse movement...though it also happened disconnecting the Mobius too.

More impressions after listening to the Mobius a bit more: - audio for music is distinctly not as good as Shure 846's...the Shure's have more base (down to 21Hz vs. 28Hz for the Mobius which is a bit of a surprise to me given the size of the drivers on the Mobius); vocals are better on the 846's...

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

If you go to youtube hearing test videos (the ones that ramp from 20->20Khz), do you hear stuff in the 14-18Khz range? I barely hear anything until it hits 19Khz and below 28Hz. I think riding screechy subways has killed off some of my hearing :-( I did warn about the 100% volume in my post...

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

I wrote some initial comments on weight and overall sound a page or two before your post. And a few others who got them also wrote up stuff. Buried by all the "where my shipping#?" posts though :-( I don't have a comparison w/ the HD800 but the 590 sounds a little less open if you're in 3D...

Anyone connect to a macbook and have it lock up the mac after a while playing music? Could be flaky 3D driver support on the Mac :-) Was just playing Spotify and the auto-3D mode sounds surprisingly good for making spotify sound more spacious (yes, I know, it's fake). Has significantly more...

Does Mobius support AptX Adaptive? https://www.xda-developers.com/qualcomm-aptx-adaptive-bluetooth-audio-codec/ but whyyyyyy not? It should be a software update. <--- sarcasm....not a real question :-) Cool upcoming tech though. We should have a separate Mobius shipping status thread...90%...

Why battery life in the office? If you're connected to the computer, you have a wire. Shure IEMs work well for me...look at the 846's if you don't mind IEMs.

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

Hard to do if they want to support platforms beyond Android/iOS. Android by itself is a mess for bluetooth support with older versions being quirky and it wasn't really close to iOS level support until Android 6. If you mean USB, it's a different mess because iOS doesn't really have USB...

could also imply an internal RF or grounding issue if you're flexing stuff inside the cups too...it's an interesting data point that the noise is independent of volume setting from the computer too. Implies the noise is injected after the amp...

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

There are too many things that can cause hiss/noise....bad grounding, noise from other chips, bad power supply so it doesn't handle power surge requirements from various parts...those are some causes. The actual music signal is small compared to how much power is needed to make the drivers move...
