    Bose QC35 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones

I concur. I gave them both a try yesterday and they were much comfortable than the Momentum 2.0. Momentum feels like the cup is covering 3/4s of the ears.    Speaking of sound quality, I personally think the QC35 is leaps and bounds ahead of the QC25. It sounds very clear and I would...

    Aussie & NZ Head-Fiers Corner

Actually, I went back to using iems because my lifestyle has become a lot more mobile. Found myself using Bose noise cancelling headphones a lot because of its noise cancelling capabilities.

    Aussie & NZ Head-Fiers Corner

Hey folks,   Looks like I had been gone to being a lurker for a while now. I have recently moved to the CBD and open headphones don't deliver quite the best experience out here. It's funny the best offering for noise cancelling cans is still from Bose after these years.   How are you guys...

    Melbourne Meet: Sunday 6/4/14

Pen-Fi (FPs, RBs, BPs, etc...) [56k Warning]

@mechgamer Why use a fountain pen instead of a ballpoint? It's much more convenient to carry through college and cost effective too not to mention the risk of work being wiped out by a water spill. I know the arguments of a fountain pen vs a ballpoint. In fact, I used to write with the fountain...

Pen-Fi (FPs, RBs, BPs, etc...) [56k Warning]

Or get a nice Pilot 78g in fine or extra fine. The pens mentioned above rarely have fine/extra-fine nibs - mechgamer's preference.

Pen-Fi (FPs, RBs, BPs, etc...) [56k Warning]

A 18K nib feels a lot softer than a 14K one IMO and I can't imagine what 21K nib would feel like. This is Montblanc though so I couldn't speak for Japanese pens although the consensus in fountain pen communities is that every Japanese nib (with the exception of nibs deliberately designed to...

Best IEM'S under 100.00 with Situation Awareness

With IEMs, you won't be able to hear the person next to you with your music on even on lowest volume unless they're yelling of course which you don't really want. The Apple Earpods aren't bad at all, a huge step up from its predecessor (kudos to Apple).

Reply to review by 'nikp' on item 'Sennheiser HD 600'

I don't think it will be too redundant. HD650 being the dark headphone and DT800 the treble happy one - HD600 will sort of fit in between. :)

    Strange Audiophile Girl

Hey Sofia,   My tastes are very similar to yours and you will not regret the HD600, trust me on this. Very well rounded, excellent timbre. I am unsure about your amp but if it can power it then it'll be fine. There's not a lot of difference between low-mid end amps anyway.   If you're...

Total Noob. HD598, DT880, or something else?

Quote:   I have sold both headphones but if I were to buy one again, it would be the HD600 or HD800.   To my memory, here is a short dot point summary. DT880 is brighter than the HD600 although both were considered to have an all around signature. HD600's got better timbre but...

Total Noob. HD598, DT880, or something else?

Deceit, seeing that you're a classical pianist, I would strongly advise you to get the Sennheiser HD600. It provides just the right amount of bass (by no means the bass of the HD600 is weak, it presents with authority), mids and highs to reflect the various instruments. It may as well be the...

Need help choosing good designed computer speakers!

Thanks for the reply! The Swans are too big but the Focal XS looks good with the iPod dock. How much better is the A5 over the A2?

Need help choosing good designed computer speakers!

Hello!   I need help choosing new speakers for my computer. The thing is.. I am not looking for huge bulky speakers that take up a lot of space and the speakers will most likely be close to the wall so heating might be an issue. What are some decent speakers with good all around performance...

Pen-Fi (FPs, RBs, BPs, etc...) [56k Warning]

Top to bottom: Einstein, Winterglow   I've got all special edition inks from Montblanc 2011-onwards but almost all of them sit in a box. But if anyone got some interest in some other inks Montblanc or not I could get you a writing sample when possible.

    Are headphone reviews essentially useless?

Not entirely useless. Things like comfort, durability, photos or even extreme comments such as "weird-sounding"/"no bass" give indications of what to expect from a headphone. Objective measurements can be fun to look at too - some may work, some don't.   A reviewer's bias (thanks to donated...

Pen-Fi (FPs, RBs, BPs, etc...) [56k Warning]

Quote: I am not sure of a "Lubriglide" but I do have a Papermate kilometric which I consider very very good. Quinkflow dries very fast like any oil based water resistant ballpoint, it's not like a rollerball but is quite smooth.

Are you a Basshead? Or a Treblehead? Or a Midrange head? A Flathead? Or....?

To be honest, my ears have gotten numb over the differences which I now consider trivial. Anything-that-sounds-good head. I miss the HD600! I very much love how it presents music in a well-rounded way.

Pen-Fi (FPs, RBs, BPs, etc...) [56k Warning]

Quote:  The new ones are pretty good actually, they're called Quinkflow. Way different than the previous versions. Fisher Space Pen pressurised refills sometimes have an adapter on them to suit Parker ballpoints too if you want to write underwrite, on oil, in zero gravity etc.
