AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Quote: Mainly alternative and punk rock, with a sprinkle of hip-hop and pop. Wide soundstage, exquisite clarity and detail are the K702's strong points. My main pair are Beyer T1's, and comparatively speaking the mids are slightly more pronounced and provides a meatier bass...- ph4tandy

Help a pool player out
You might want to look into IEMs. I just keep my music player in my back pocket while shooting. IEMs will stay snug in your ears. I haven't had any problems doing this for a couple years.- ph4tandy

Audio-GD NFB-2 & NFB-3 Delivery & Impression Thread
Guess something went wrong the first time I plugged it in; Windows probably didn't recognize the device or install the appropriate driver. Since it's fixed now, no werries I suppose. Sounds great no matter what :)- ph4tandy

Audio-GD NFB-2 & NFB-3 Delivery & Impression Thread
To anyone on Windows 7: Have you noticed that the output device has changed from "USB Device" to TE7022 Audio"? Edit: Not sure if this was the reason, but no more BSODs after I noticed this change.- ph4tandy

UE700 or UE SF5?
Didn't mean to offend you in any way. Sorry if I did. I feel my comments are taking this thread in the wrong direction as well. That aside, it looks like the SF5 cables resemble the TF10 cables, which are much thicker than the UE700 cables. The UE700 ones are quite thin; I can see how...- ph4tandy

UE700 or UE SF5?
Yes I agree. It'd be even nicer if the UE700s came with detachable cables too.- ph4tandy

UE700 or UE SF5?
Could be, won't try and argue about that. But I will say UE is somewhat aware of the mass amount of warranty repairs. Not to the extent that they'd actually beefen up the build quality, but enough to leave a set of cautionary instructions in the included manual that no one ever seems to read...- ph4tandy

UE700 or UE SF5?
Not sure how so many people go about breaking their cables on the UE series. I mean accidents happen, but so many make it so hard to believe they're really accidents. Proper handling and care goes a long way. That aside, I haven't heard the SF.5's but I do own the UE700s. They are bright, but...- ph4tandy

Audio-GD NFB-2 & NFB-3 Delivery & Impression Thread
I also have the BSOD problem. Not really an issue since I have music running whenever my computer's on. But yes turning the DAC off while the computer is still running results in a BSOD in a matter of minutes. I'm on Foobar WASAPI via USB on Win7.- ph4tandy

Triple Fi 10 - Is this a joke?
Quote: I own both the TF10's and UE700s. I will agree that the UE700's do sound brighter, with more emphasis on the higher end. I definitely digged it's sound signature, I'm one of those who actually enjoy the V curve. Upon listening with the TF10's I'll say that the sound had a lot...- ph4tandy
