[EDM] could somebody please identify this track?

It's an EDM track, most likely from somewhere in Asia - Proper identification would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    your favorite musical genre?

Metal, electronic, and jazz - typically in that order.

Need help finding a genre, or perhaps a group/artist

That song you linked reminds me of early 90's synth pop. Go listen to Pet Shop Boys, lol :P

Came across this the other day -       If you've wondered what Meshuggah would sound like with a backing symphony, this is probably as close as you're going to get. Fairly interesting if you're into that sort of thing. Avoid like the plague if you hate Meshuggah and/or synths.

Does the fall of music ever depress you? It does me.

I wouldn't say that I limit myself exclusively to those types. Yeah, there's a lot of crap in both the metal and the electronic realm, but they appeal to and resonate with me more so than other genres because they are not (or at least, no longer are) constrained by stylistic boundaries, and...

Does the fall of music ever depress you? It does me.

Personally, I've long since stopped concerning myself with where a given artist lies in terms of cultural prominence.   I primarily listen to metal and electronic music (I like and appreciate other things, but none really get as much playtime with me). Both are extremely nebulous blanket...

Figured you might have heard those... kinda surprised you can't get into them though. I've always looked at those bands as sort of a "love one, love all" deal because they all pretty much just rip each other off, lol.   Have you heard this? - http://www.myspace.com/vildhjarta - more or less...

The Exploration of Metal and Progressive Rock

As far as progressive rock goes, I think the most interesting thing I've heard lately has been Vehicle from a band called miRthkon. This is basically a modern day incarnation of Frank Zappa playing in unison with Mr. Bungle, with more or less everything else but the kitchen sink thrown in at one...

Quote: You'd probably do well checking out bands like Reflux, TesseracT, Cloudkicker, Chimp Spanner, Veil of Maya, Bulb, et al. They all fall under the same general banner with Periphery and Animals as Leaders.   Actually, you might find this site interesting -...

miRthkon - for fans of Zappa, Panzerballett, Estradasphere, SGM, Thinking Plague, etc.

Basically, if you're a fan of any of the bands in the subject line, you should get this. Even if you only have some vague, passing interest in RIO and/or avant-prog, you should get this anyway. The Zappa influence is probably strongest, but you can also hear Mr. Bungle worship, the quirky...

Different, but relevant nonetheless - Stumbled across this accidentally earlier in the week. It's a side project of Augury's Mathieu Marcotte, along with Dominic Lapointe (Augury, Quo Vadis), ChaotH (Unexpect), and the drummer from Neuraxis - should be familiar names to anybody...
