I just got my X3. Everything is going good. I just had a question regarding FW. Is it necessary to have an empty microsd X3 formatted card in order to install the FW or can you just have it on a X3 formatted card with other tunes? Thanks- Clipster

Thanks for the reply. I was just thinking in terms that I knew I am eventually going to want an amp and I was just trying to find a pretty versatile pair. I know the x3 works well on its own and I like the looks of the x1. I know the x1 needs some oomph to get it close to the x3. Just babbling...- Clipster

so you use the Fiio X3 with the Cayin C5? how does that sound? I amdebating on that combo or the X1 and an amp of some sort (either the e11k or the C5). Decisions, decisions. thanks in advance.- Clipster

I am thinking I want an X3. I also like the looks and reviews of the x1. My question is would I need an additional amp with the x3, like I was thinking I would do with the X1(e11k). I am a current clip+ user with all FLAC files. I am looking for an upgrade in the souce, but do not want to break...- Clipster

The Cayin C5 portable power house.
From the last couple posts, the x1 and the c5 could be a good combo? I am considering the c5 over the e11k for the x1, am looking for some advice if this is a good idea or not? It sounds that whatever the c5 is paired with, it sounds good. Thanks in advance.- Clipster

i know it has been hashed, but i am coming from a clip+ and a samsung media player. I have all my music in FLAC already. I do have shure 215's, vsonic vsd1's, Audio technica ath50's, and aiai tma-1. I want to take the next step. I like this combo of the X1 and e11k. I have read reviews that...- Clipster

I have just been hearing that they are good, but that they are a little over rated. I really want them, but if there something better I was willing to listen. Have you heard the Tma-1's? How do they compare to the m50's?- Clipster

Are they really that bad? I have the TMA-1 and for IEM I am currently using Soundmagic e10. i did just order the vsonic vc02 for another set of different iems's. I also have the NU-Force NE-6 and superfi5, i believe. i do listen to all sorts of tunes and was looking at buying the m50's...- Clipster

I was just wondering what settings people are using to eq these bad boys? I use foobar most of the time with these and occasionally the clip+. I am just seeing if there is a better setting that others might be using. Thanks- Clipster
