    Yamaha EPH-100

Hi Guys, After 5 years it seems the left nozzle of my EPH-100 died out. Which IEM has a similar sound signature and isolation as the Yamaha's? I read some recommended the RHA MA750 as a replacement, but the isolation isn't as good as the EPH-100. For me good isolation is important, so the RHA...

Recommend newbie setup IEM + USB amp < $200

If I were you I wouldn't spent my money on an amp because you probably don't need one. Safe the money for a good IEM like the ones mentioned above.   Most IEM's are easily driven and won't benefit much from an amp except for some extra bass. Just use the equalizer on your mp3-player, most of...

    Yamaha EPH-100

Oh man, after reading the impressions of the EPH-100 owners I really want them. I do wonder if they isolate good enough? As in, are they not prone to wind noise?   I know it's difficult to compare a headphone with an IEM, but is the sound of the EPH-100 comparable to the Sennheiser HD25-II?

The Best IEM For Performance and Price

I got the Brainwavz B2 for 85 euro and I don't think any IEM can beat that price for such a great IEM.

    Hisoundaudio Crystals Review

Does the bass of the hisoundaudio crystal keep up with fast music like death metal?

    A good replacement for q-Jays

I've switched from q-Jays to Brainwavz B2 and in my opinion the B2 is a better IEM! Better mids, better highs, little bit less quantity in the bass, (not by much) but still a nice punch. Guitars especially sounds better on the B2 than the q-Jays.

First quality IEMs - Brainwavz B2, Westone 2, or q-Jays?

I think for your preference the W2 is definitely the best choice. I currently own the B2's and I love them, but they are not suited for bass heavy music like dubstep. I've also owned the q-Jays and I didn't like them very much because of their short cable length, they are prone to microphonics...

    BRAINWAVZ: M3 B2 or even M4 ?

For classical I would definitely recommend the B2 because they are very detailed and revealing, which is I think important for classical music.

    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

I am considering to buy the GR07 but I have some questions.. I cycle almost everyday with headphones on, is the GR07 prone to wind noise? I've had some dynamic IEMS and they were very prone to wind noise. I've read that the GR07 got punchy bass but do you feel the punchy bass or is it...

    Portable Headphones for Metal/Rock

Sennheiser HD25-1 II and audio technica ath-m50 are often mentioned here as great portable headphones. I own the Sennheiser HD25-1 II and I listen to metal a lot, in my opinion it is the best (portable) headphone for this genre. Great punchy bass, closed/forward soundstage and their agressive...

REVIEW : Brainwavz B2 - Dual Balanced Armature

Great review, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I've owned the q-Jays and UE700 but the B2 is my favourite BA so far. With good clarity, detail and the punchy bass it is perfect for fast music.

    Portable headgear - B&W p5 or better

Get the Sennheiser HD25-II and thank me later. It is the best portable headphone for rock/metal and electronic dance music.

    IEMs for metal. ~$200

Spending $235 for the UE700 is the worst thing you could do. Go get the Brainwavz B2 because it is prolly a great IEM for Metal and under $200.

Sennheiser HD 25-ii vs. aiaiai TMA 1

Both headphones are very easy to drive, they won't benefit much from an amp. That is why I don't use an amp! :)

Sennheiser HD 25-ii vs. aiaiai TMA 1

I own both and gave the TMA-1 to my dad because I like the HD25-II better soundwise. Their sound is not comparable, it is often mentioned that the HD25 is a bright headphone whereas the TMA-1 is a dark sounding headphone. I prefer the bass of the HD25 over the TMA-1, HD25 has a lot of punch in...

NEW! Sony MDR-EX1000 unboxing video, top of the line IEM.

I also said it on youtube, but next time could you blow your nose before posting a video? Hearing you sniffing every other second is kind of annoying! Still thanks for sharing your unboxing video! :-)

New IEMs bass heavy 70-120 Dollar...

The Sennheiser IE8 is a great IEM soundwise but the isolation is poor. If you don't care about isolation, the IE8 is one of the best bassy IEM's out there AFAIK. I never had the chance to check 'em out though!
