thanks for the angled pad pics. I tried it with some studio foam but didn't like the sound. maybe i will try some akasa.   I'm going to order a matrix mini-i and hopefully it will be a good match

Im glad you said this as i was about to order 5mm think wool felt. I've ordered the stiff felt and will let you know how it works out. Its 100% polyester so dont think it matters that it was made from bottles.

Thanks, i did find out about this the other day and received some foam ear pads yesterday. I will let you know how it turns out

After a couple more days i still have not got the sound i want. The bass is tight and powerfull and they have great sound stage but i'm finding the cymbals too over powering.   Is there a way to tame down the cymbals?

After trying lots of different combinations, I get the best sound from Stuffed earpads and dynamat extreme on the back of the plastic earcups only, with the gray disc and outer stuffing removed.
