Car audio-Fi
So I ended up getting Kenwood x596 as my deck and four 6.5" Kenwood KFC-X173s. Someone I knew was selling 2 Canadian homemade 12" subwoofers with a JL Audio 250/1 amp. Their box didn't fix so I put them both in a ported box. I had it all installed at a shop and they said they set up the amp for...- BASGTA

Car audio-Fi
ProtegeManiac, I was thinking primarily sound quality. I don't care if it's not that loud. I haven't thought about getting speakers yet either. I'm going to be purchasing from Sonic Electronix, shipping to Canada's a lot but it's still cheaper than local places. I was wondering if these are...- BASGTA

Car audio-Fi
Bump. I'm thinking of getting a full system in a few months for my 2005 Civic 4DR SI. Thinking of getting 1 12" Alpine Type R in a ported box. I'm looking at Hifonics amplifiers, but I don't know much about car audio. I'm also going to be getting a Pioneer deck. In total price is looking around...- BASGTA

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
I burnt mine in by playing them at a slightly high normal listening level playing on shuffle through all my songs. I'm trying to bring out some of the mids by EQing. Using this image. Suggestions?- BASGTA

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Agreed, Tsujigiri. The whole time I was reviewing these headphones before purchase I had a lot of complaints about the highs. They sound dark compared to my AD900s. I add the Noise Sharpening DSP and set it to 50%.- BASGTA

The only thing I wasn't prepared for with these headphones are how short the cable is. The cable makes me think these are portable cans.- BASGTA

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Every review I've read has said these are too bright and some people have even returned them because of it. I don't find them bright at all and even enjoy using the noise sharpener DSP in foobar. Maybe I just got used to the AD900's bright and airy sound.- BASGTA

KRK KNS-8400 Review (Impressive $150 headphone)
I went from my Equation Audio RP21s to the KNS 8400s I thought the comfort was amazing. The pads were really comfy and memory foam too. The top got a little annoying after an hour or so, but that just requires a slight adjustment. Then I got my AD900s and they're the most comfortable things...- BASGTA

The Audio Technica AD900 Bass Mod
Interesting, I would try this out but I don't want to wreck my headphones just in case. In Foobar I have my EQ 50hz, 63hz and 80hz at +6db and 100hz at +4db and it sounds beautiful. It takes it from barely bassy to decently bassy.- BASGTA

Headphones Shocking my Ear
Hey everybody. So the other day I was wearing my ATH900s laying down doing some crunches. Laying on a particularly fuzzy and static-y blanket. When I got up and my feet touched the floor I got a rather large zap to my right ear. Now whenever I'm wearing the headphones and stand up I get small...- BASGTA

Compressed Air on Headphones
The crackling comes back after I put the headphones down for a while or listen to something with less bass then go back to something with lots of bass. Yeah, I'd only try the low pressure at a distance. I tried blowing at it from multiple angles.- BASGTA

Compressed Air on Headphones
So I have a pair of ATH-AD900s, and recently I'll notice a crackling noise when there's heavy bass playing. It only happens in the left driver, and every time it does I'll readjust or give it a little shake and it goes away. Sounds like a hair touching the diaphragm almost. Pictures So is it...- BASGTA
