Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
A Reddit user referred to the glue on the headband and earcups of their PX7 S2 coming apart so, given the reported headband issues with the PX8 I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that the earcups might also be affected.- moogman

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
After months of research and indecision I finally pulled the trigger and ordered PX8 (black - love the tan look but am afraid it will show dirt). Coming from XM2s I’m expecting great things! I ordered them from Richer Sounds as they confirmed in writing that their returns policy applies to...- moogman

WH-1000xM2 vs VSonic GR07 Bass Impressions
I've only just got my WH-1000XM2s this morning so they're not broken in but I find there's plenty of bass. It's a bit muddy at the moment and occasionally I've resorted to the Sony Connect app equaliser to reduce it a little as it gets quite tiring with bass heavy EDM but I'm hoping this will...- moogman

IE8 with ipod classic 80gb?
You're right - the iPod is a fairly average source, even via line-out with an amp. I think the IE8 brings the best out of the iPod but don't expect it to come close to the sound quality from a better source; there's a price to pay for convenience.- moogman

When was the last time you bought a CD?
I buy a couple of CDs each month so I put 2-4 weeks in the poll. I prefer CDs over downloads as I like to own something tangible, and it means I have a backup after creating .m4a files. Problem is the next two albums on my list to buy are difficult/expensive to get on CD and I'm considering...- moogman

USB HDD
I use a 1TB USB HDD to store Apple Lossless files. Sounds fine to me. I tried coaxial from my CD player -> DacMagic but preferred the sound of USB -> DacMagic. Personally I think problems with jitter are overstated.- moogman

Petition: I would like the old site back (or other choice)
I really appreciate the time and effort Jude and the team have put in over the last year to improve the site. I love the separate review section - it was a real pain finding reviews hidden in 300-page threads full of one-liners. Also, the old forum looked a bit dated and was in need of a revamp...- moogman

upgrades to hd595
Getting back to the original question , if you like the basic sound signature of the HD595 then I think you'd like the HD600. It has the same rolled-off highs but with more detail and a more prominent bass, and is just as easy to listen to for long periods. They do grip more than the HD595 and...- moogman

The Sennheiser HD-600 thread
@tdockweiler Thanks for the great review :-) I also find the bass to be surprisingly good and a lot better than I'd expected. I thought I might have had to get some bassier phones to complement the HD600s but I don't think I'll bother. I'll save the money and buy some new music instead.- moogman

Hd 595 Bass
They need a good source and amp to bring out the bass. An amped iPod just won't cut it, nor will the headphone socket of a CD player. Having said that, the bass is more refined than "in-your-face" and if you're a bit of a basshead you might find Sennheisers generally lacking.- moogman

how many use portables for serious home use?
I use a Graham Slee Voyager as my home amp and it works very well with HD600s. I use it with the mains adaptor rather than batteries.- moogman
