Sennheiser HE-60 ''The Legendary Baby"
Are you using the HEV-70 amp? Probably one of the aging drivers need more time to fully charge up since you haven't used them for a long time. I wouldn't sweat about it if they sound good after warming up. It could also be dust. Try very very gently vacuuming them to see if it helps.- babyoh

Sennheiser HE-60 ''The Legendary Baby"
I'm looking to pair HE-60 with an aftermarket amp and checking out this e-stat amp spreadsheet done by another HFer. What are the maximum "safe" RMS and peak voltage numbers I need to keep under so I won't be able to overdrive and damage my HE-60 by accident...- babyoh

Unfortunately I don't have a Stax amp for testing. The pads on mine are dry rotting. I suspect some of the particles may get on to the panels and causing issues. How can I make sure the panels are clean?- babyoh

Sennheiser HE-60 ''The Legendary Baby"
I have a set of HE60 and HEV70 that haven't been used for a couple of years. Is it normal for the HE60 to give loud scratchy sound with pops and ticks? It was really bad the first time I fired them up again. Now the noise only happens during the first 5 minutes from a cold start. After that...- babyoh

Which DAC has synergy with CEC belt-drive transport?
I have a thing for organic, natural sound with nice midrange and resolution but without getting "in your face". Which DAC has these qualities and has synergy with CEC belt-drive transport (TL5100Z)? I'm thinking along the line of Ack Dack 1.3 NOS DAC but it's getting hard to find on the used...- babyoh
