The SR2 is neither warm and relaxed and by no means shrill and shouty IMHO (and I must have missed those impressions...). Maybe it's from radically different sources and since the SR2 has great transparency the source is to blame but honestly I plugged the SR2 from my Lotoo PAW S1 to my DX160...

I have not published it yet, but I am working on a SR2 review and DX300 is a good match :) SR2 also packs superb value for money, I love listening to it... nice change from IEMs to have a semi open headphone and it's so comfy

No dip in the lower treble for sure, yes my Audioquest Nighthawk were on the darker side and SR1 to a much lesser extent weren't the most sparkly but SR2 is a game changer as far as clarity, transparency and sparkle go... really stunningly good! I am really so impressed by the SR2

Not much activity there, impressions? I loved SR1 and regret to have parted with it, good thing to drop the MMCX connector for the SR2 though. I feel the SR2 is calling me :P @Paul - iBasso Is there a balanced upgrade cable in the works?

SR2 is not what I consider a bright headphone but it's certainly lively and for me safe and smooth. Did you audition SR1 as well might be an option if you liked the NightHawk but want something less dark... somewhere in between NightHawk and SR2

I am not sure about a black friday deal for the SR2, it's already a sweet deal at retail price IMHO!

Yes IMHO the SR2 are insane value for the price, from description of IT07 there seemed to be a similar vibe of musicality combined with technicalities

I don't know about graphs but I sure hear the SR2 as sounding very natural with no weird peaks out of Hiby R8, a bit clearer on DX160 but still highly coherent.

It's not the Diana (still have to hear this one) but I have been rekindling with headphones lately and I am extremely impressed by iBasso SR2 :heart_eyes: which holds insane value for money IMHO, but iBasso has always been a specialist of that... Vocals in particular are simply fantastic...

I haven't tried the second pad set yet, has anyone A/B'ed I think those are two different pad types? In the meantime the SR2 is probably the best headphone I ever owned for vocals, mesmerizing...

I love the R8 so far for anyone who likes a smooth DAP and streaming it should be an option. :) I spent some more time with SR2 and I am mightily impressed by what @Paul - iBasso and his team have done here. It’s phenomenal value for money, the speed and agility of the 50mm driver is...

As I spend more time with them and they burn in one thing is very clear : the SR2 is amazing at vocals both male and female timbre is spot on and the tessitura is so lifelike... :heart_eyes:

I love the SR2 and let me say it's a fabulous pairing with iBasso very own DX300.... a very analog sounding combo with superb vocals and a smooth, liquid and lively midrange... I get dreamy with those on my head :)

And the Eagle has landed... couldn't resist :p From memory SR2 is clearer sounding than SR1 but the same linear philosophy, a very elegant sounding headphone... need to burn in now and enjoy, good to take a rest from IEMs sometimes :) @Paul - iBasso The second set of pads is different is it ?

...benefit more than all BA IEMs which DC mode don't bring as much to the table. Even easy to drive headphones though benefit from DC mode, at least true of my dynamic iBasso SR2. I don't have a headphone collection so I can't elaborate more... waiting on DCA Stealth we'll see how this turns out :)

Great thanks! The SR2 will be my first headphone review, I'd like to go balanced to check how it scales even further :P The stock cable is really great! From what I remember reading from @Paul - iBasso it's not SPC but a silver/copper alloy quite interesting!

Burn in is smoothing things out in a great way, the M8 is an intoxicating DAP to say the least, I am running iBasso SR2 headphone it's pretty amazing how they scale up... I haven't plugged the Zen Can to the M8 yet :p Vocals are really intoxicating it's amazing... And the PRaT is off the...

I know it's apple and oranges but have you heard iBasso SR2 headphone ? Looks like tuning wise there could be similarities :)
