Pretty much the same, in the context of how it was used. Basically being able to tell apart subtle differences. Though you’re right in that discernment and discrimination are very different words.
oh sorry I just saw this now. No, I never had a chance to listen to the SR2. Are they good? I still listen to my HD800 SDR (sonarworks tweaked) time to time but I am very much into IEMs exclusively now for convenience reasons.

First review in 2021 goes to iBasso IT07. I don't normally say this but the IT07 is world class and it can hold its own against more expensive flagship IEMs. Didn't manage to cover all the comparisons with other flagship hybrid IEMs but all I can say is it is that good to challenge on all fronts. The best part is its price and relatively speaking, extremely reasonable. A winner. Enjoy & Happy Listening, as always! Happy New Year.

Got the IT07 in my ears as I am typing. Bass on the IT07 has to be one of the best quality bass ends on the planet. I don't know how they did it but the bass end of the IT07 reaches so deep and you can feel that low end bass tump like a real sub woofer. So good.

And if the amazing bass presence and control wasn't enough. They have crazy precision and imaging with crystalline extended treble that a lot of earphones cant do. Don't know what Ibasso gonna do next but the IT07 is clearly a statement piece. Earphones just don't get much better.
