Unfortunately you see *****ers like that all the time. He got what he deserved, and will get even more when the CHP and courts are done with him. Fortunately he didn't kill someone else, this time...- DigiPete

High output MC cartridge compatible with MM only phono stages?
I was using a Denon DL160 with my receiver's phono inputs, and later with a CIA VPP1 (40 db gain?) with no problems.- DigiPete

Hey Vinyl spinners what cart are you using right now?
Currently have the Denon DL160, but I just bought an SME 309 arm, and I am considering the Zyx Fuji cart. Any thoughts on 0.24 vs. 0.48 mv, copper vs silver coils?- DigiPete

Looking to Mod Denon 3930CI: Options?
The SACDmods 3930 is a great source and you won't be dissappointed. This is the second Denon I've had modded by Matt Anker, and I have always been quite pleased with the results. Lots of bang for your buck, and the mods are much more thorough than typical cap, diode and resistor modders...- DigiPete

Best budget cartridge: Shure M97XE, Ortofon OM10/OMB10, Denon DL-110/160, or AT440ML?

Best budget cartridge: Shure M97XE, Ortofon OM10/OMB10, Denon DL-110/160, or AT440ML?
The Denon DL160 has a wide soundstage, good transparency, great highs and lows (very neutral) and is very low in groove noise. An all around great cart. I don't think you would be dissapointed with it, I know I'm not.- DigiPete

Eastsound E5 Plat.Ref. CDP - new/improved
Chucked the Saturn pretty fast Doc Looks like some parts replacements but the same topology for the most part, op amps for the balanced outputs. I would not expect this even comes close to beating high end sources, and certainly not worth its doubled price tag... The clock does improve...- DigiPete

What gain do you have your Dynahi set at? If it is too low and you have a lower impeadance headset plugged in it could get unstable.- DigiPete

SQ of different cables (for recabling)
The Mogami neglex copper balanced (quad) mic cable W2893 (26gauge) or W2534 (24gauge) sounds very good, I like it better than Cardas.- DigiPete
