Not achieving your goals....
It's 14 years later now, married and two kids. A good steady job. Still jack of all trades and master of none. But I am happy with my life. Almost almost found head-fi satisfaction ;)- cylanes

Astell & Kern SR25: The next A&norma player
I don't often listen to classical, yesterday listened to Vikingur Olafsson - Mozart & Contemporaries and the piano sounded very clean and I could feel/hear the way he pressed and released the keys. Attack and decay was quite detailed. Might give you an idea. Listened to it on Qobuz by the way.- cylanes

Astell & Kern SR25: The next A&norma player
Been an SR25 owner for a week now and I never thought I would enjoy a dedicated DAP so much at the end of 2021. Coupled with the Fiio FH7 the SR25 is a beast. Before I was more an over ear type versus in ear. Think I'm a convert now. In ears can sound as good. The sound is neutral to warm and...- cylanes

Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread
Recently my interested in headphones returned. Mostly been using Bluetooth headphones but never really been satisfied with the sound. But because practical and financial reasons (two of them:kids) I didn't chase headphone nirvana. Until a few weeks ago I bought a second-hand AKG 702 and the...- cylanes

Pioneer SE-A1000 (Sennheiser HD 650 for $45?)
Long time ago....I last posted on head-fi. Is it worth to upgrade to AKG k712 currently priced at 229 Euro? Looks like a great deal to me. Haven`t upgraded the desk HP`s for a while, maybe as long as my last post. That time has been good for my wallet. I know I`m reviving an old thread, but...- cylanes

My adventures in Head-fi.
I think it was 5-7 years ago I bought my first real headphone, it was the Sennheiser HD515. That pair of phones satisfied my thirst for more.............but then I found this forum. Head-fi with it`s slogan, I`m sorry for your wallet. After that I bought a HD650 and I was in need for...- cylanes

The new kid on the block: The AKG K420
I`ve been using the k420 as my primary portable headphone for a while now. Sometimes I use my panasonic rtx-h7, that`s only when I have a retroday. Tried a few IEMs, shure e3c/super-fi`s and sennheisers, but couldn`t get used with the feeling in my ears. For some reason I build up too much...- cylanes

Rate The Last Movie You Watched
Law Abiding Citizen 4/10 It could be so much better, if they exploited the moral dilemma more for example. The whole movie is too slick imho.- cylanes

Metallica Live...worth the $?
I have seen them once live, 2 years ago on Pinkpop. That`s an open air festival in Holland. They are great musicians, the show is good. I think it`s worth the money I myself enjoyed the gig very much, the old songs kicks ass. 60 dollar that`s like 40 euros, not all too bad for a metallica...- cylanes

Short Review: AKG K81DJ vs. Panasonic RP-HTX7 [56K warning]
I have them both and love them both. The AKG k81 because it`s smooth sound and it won`t break compare it with the girl next door. The Pannies are beautiful and have erratic (strange highs) sounds but on some songs they shine, it`s that gorgeous cheerleader with an **** mentality.- cylanes

Netbook or a Ipod touch 32gb
I`m considering both, a netbook and a touch. But I only have enough money to buy one item. So what do you guys think ? I`ll use it during my commute to work. 3 reasons for a touch. - smaller, better portability - apps - better sq 3 reasons for a netbook - qwerty keyboard -...- cylanes
