DAC Recommendations. MQA or not?
The point of MQA is supposed to be to deliver the music in the state of which it was created. From recording to mixing to mastering to the final product. The Problem however is that depending on who's music you're listening to, it's more fluff than properly utilized. Recoding and proper mixing...- D3Seeker

Audioquests new Dragonfly Cobalt @TTVJAudio.com
I distinctly remember $269 a few months ago the best on ebay, which I turned to because Amazon was sold out. So na. As for the cobalt I wouldn't be surprised to see a hike of $50 at least- D3Seeker

Audioquests new Dragonfly Cobalt @TTVJAudio.com
Already pulled that up and as I pointed out, that's only because this new product has launched (on their own store front so anomaly for sure). I can assure you i wasn't imagining those high prices over the past year- D3Seeker

Audioquests new Dragonfly Cobalt @TTVJAudio.com
Here in the US I've looked between ebay, amazon and a few others over the past year and a half. Would be nice to see a Red for 200 and below but not here bud. Pretty sure with the launch of the Cobalt it might stabilize but..... Yep, NOW it's 199.99 on Amazon and that's with Audioquest's store...- D3Seeker

Audioquests new Dragonfly Cobalt @TTVJAudio.com
I've NEVER found it for below $250 anywhere. I do remember it being hard to keep in stock at intervals as well so idk. Seems on the mark as far as our specialized audio gear goes (not that I fully condone some of the pricing but I digress) I liked the Red but hearing descriptors like "smooth"...- D3Seeker

Audioquests new Dragonfly Cobalt @TTVJAudio.com
Hmmmm..... Just hmmmm. When I did have the Red I do remember the hiss. If that's fixed I may look towards the Cobalt. (My IEM game is sorely overdue for an upgrade though that's neither here nor there) Also to those complaining about the price...... How nice it must be to forget that the Red...- D3Seeker

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
You know what I also noticed.... the ue500 gets very coongested. If you listen to anything that goes beyond the basic ensemble (symphonic death metals in my case) the drivers fumble. They just cant keep up with all that's going on. Things tend till pop in even at times. Thank goodness these are...- D3Seeker

I love this thing! Got the Black with Crutchfield's speakercompare rental kit and omg! So resolving and energetic. It make my S8 actually work while as a portable player (finally beating the S4 with viper.) I'm attacking e-bay to gift myself a red within the next week.- D3Seeker

Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP
I was intrigued by the overall specs of the player until I read what chipset. While the the Snapdragon 400 series is literally perfect (and the lowest tier) for any sorta power device in this day the 400 chipset (note: chipset or better SoC) has notorious radio degradation over time.... as has...- D3Seeker

Not even the flagship player yet intrigued I am. And they've greatly course corrected by going with Samsung for SoC this time around. Real support that should last unlike the Rockchips nonsense. Will have to see how this plays out.- D3Seeker

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Finally caved to my long standing curiosity and purchased the UE 500 (also because I wanted to stop abusing my IM-70 in the gym lol) What can I say? Well to me they are infuriatingly flat. Very speaker like with an interestingly wide soundstage. Everything seems to have room to do it's thing...- D3Seeker

NEW Audio Technica Multiple BA IEM: ATH LS50,70,200,300,400

I'm centrally on my IM-70s as a daily and want to add to my collection. That LS200 id certainly in my...- D3Seeker

Pioneer XDP-300R | Twin DAC ES9018K2M | Balanced Out | Android | MQA | 2x MicroSD | WiFi | AptX
Of course a "good" microSD card is always gonna work. My point is that it's short sighted to remove internal storage just because. It usually take the absolutr best of microSD cards to match that "pricey" internal storage. On threes kind of devices that speed make a difference at the OS level...- D3Seeker
