Droid X
Hey I'm using a droid x as my primary music player now, and I was wondering what I could do about the sound quality. I have a Predator portable amp going to my sennheiser headphones. The predator has a 3.5mm and usb inputs...how should I connect the droid x to it? If I use a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm...- Pantocrator

New speakers for my PC and 360
Hey, so I'm looking into buying a new set of speakers for my PC and 360. Here's the set up at least 9 months a year, my 360 and pc share the same monitor, and i connect the 360 into the audio in on my pc (currently an x fi (gamer??)) and they share the same speakers and monitor. (the other...- Pantocrator

Comparing the XM-5, Predator, and 2move.
Does anyone have an idea how these stack up? Considering how new the XM-5 is, there have not been many reviews of it. These are the members of my final selection group. There have been some predator vs 2move threads, but so far nobody has published anything about the xm-5 save ASR. So... any...- Pantocrator

ipod line out
Unless someone has something for around 30 bucks that will last long and be of great quality, I will go with what I found. 85 bucks for that cryo is just ridiculous. Thanks for the help everyone.- Pantocrator

ipod line out
The Microshar is about 60 bucks per cable- that is expensive, not cheap. If that's supposed to be cheap, what the hell does an expensive cable cost? Anyway- will this get the job done? Or should I open my wallet a little wider? Link below Cables To Go - 4ft iPod®-Compatible 3.5mm to Dock...- Pantocrator

crossfeed
Thanks for the replies. Tell me about the secondary external xfeed- is it a product you can buy from meier audio? I saw a diy guide on his site, but I don't think I want to get into that. so far, it is 2move 1, predator 0 thanks to worldman. any other thoughts?- Pantocrator

crossfeed
All right. Considering I can't try out any of the amps, I'm back to the drawing board. I was hoping this feature would help me choose between the Predator, the 2move, and hot audio, but I guess not. While the thread is still alive, does anybody want to just pipe in just tell me what to buy?- Pantocrator

ipod line out
I'll look into the microshar then, and see how cheap it is. I am on a budget, btw, but that is because I have spent a huge amount of money in the past couple of weeks, plus I need to buy a new laptop for college pretty soon. I love music- obviously i do not know if i will tell the difference...- Pantocrator

New mp3 player Help!
Honestly, it doesn't seem like a good time to buy mp3 players. I just bought an ipod touch. I hate apple and itunes, but it was definitely worth it because of how cool the player is. However, I plan on only using it for about 4 years before I replace it. Nvidia has a new mobile chip coming out...- Pantocrator

Are MP3 Players Typically UMS devices?
Most that aren't ums can be synced with various players. I have a sandisk for example that has to be synced with sandisk software, but I can sync it with WMP or mediamonkey. Ipods can sync with media monkey as well. The computers you use probably have WMP already installed, so you can use any...- Pantocrator

ipod line out
I am looking at some line out cables for my ipod touch, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I found one from qables for 60 bucks (meier audio's site) but I have found a similar cable for 15 bucks. Is there a real difference in the cables? Would I be a moron for ponying up 60 bucks...- Pantocrator

crossfeed
In my attempt to choose a portable amp, I am trying to find differences in features. The 2move has crossfeed, which is touted as highly improving the soundstage (you can tell where the instruments are as if you were using speakers instead of headphones.) Does the Predator use this, or does hot...- Pantocrator

GRADO 225 or 325i, what's the best for me?
You do realize that he said that money is no object in THIS consideration- that means that between the two he mentioned, price doesn't matter. That doesn't mean he has enough money for RS-1's. Just throwing that out there, not saying its not worth the extra cash.- Pantocrator

**Major Update** Help me spend $550 (on headphones)
HD650's for 350 easily. If you want something different from Sennheiser, Grado's are supposedly good for rock- you can get the 225 or 325i's for that price I would imagine.- Pantocrator

Best Exercise headphones?
I might get flamed for this, but if you are running, and using a simple ipod set up, you don't really need great sound quality. I go running every day and because of all the noise (cars, animals, your breathing) plus the fact that you are under duress, the SQ really isn't all that important...- Pantocrator
