MOONDROP X CRINACLE DUSK NOW AVAILABLE
So I Duskified by Variations with Wavelet (and Easyeffects on my laptop) and eq, using Crin's IEM graphing tool. It sounds good! I wonder how far it will be from a real Dusk with DSP applied? I guess different drivers will sound differently in the end, but the Variations is technically no slouch.- TWidXugA

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
This DSP/Dusk hype made me revisit Wavelet, and I found (only now to my shame) that squig.link or crinacle's tool can also be used to gerenate eqs of every IEM into to any other IEM, that work on Wavelet. So I made a Dusk out of my Variations... Crinacles site is slightly better for that...- TWidXugA

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]
On a quest to get the Mojo 2 to work via bluetooth with LDAC. Found the perfect solution (for me), that is to connect it via usb c to an Hidizs ap80 pro (in receiver mode). I already had an ap80 lying around with broken analog outputs, so that was a no brainer, plus sd card and media...- TWidXugA

The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies
I don't think it possible anymore. Their checkout page has a big red warning stating: "To purchase IEMs in this country, please contact our dealer." And then I can't get through to checkout. But the "dealer" (eliseaudio.com) does not have modules listed. I might drop them a message.- TWidXugA

The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies
Hello 64 Audio fans. I've just got my u12t, and loving it. However, I'd really like to have an apex module between the m15 and m20. I've read that FIR Audio has the '+' XL module, which seems to fit, but I'm in the UK, and Fir modules are not listed in their Europe representative...- TWidXugA

The PENON official thread
I just tried to buy a Penom 10th with Paypal in Penom's official store... Checkout apparently has a bug, it tells me: Notice: Undefined property: Proxy::getAffiliateByTracking in /home/penonaud/public_html/catalog/controller/payment/paypal.php on line 1951 If there is any Penom rep around...- TWidXugA

The discovery thread!
So the DT200 arrived, and I've listened to it for a few days. It is a great IEM at that discounted price, smooth, nothing tonally out of place, and unique in its driver config. Timbre is impressive indeed, especially in mids and highs, and even the bass is not bad at all for BA. Makes me think...- TWidXugA

The discovery thread!
A like is not enough for this post, many thanks @AmericanSpirit, just pulled the trigger! Audiosense goodness at this price is complete madness. Plus the tunning seems up my alley and I don't have a low count BA - all BA set, this will be it. I know there are some 1 BA sets out there but those...- TWidXugA

DUNU Unveils the Successor to the Legendary SA6, the MK2
As an SA6 Ultra lover, I confess that I'm on the fence with the mk2. To start with, the form factor is a step down IMO, considerably bigger... why? I wonder if these will be reused for the S10 or S16, and hence the added girth, leaving some empty space in the mk2 (production line optimization?)...- TWidXugA

Hello, new to this thread, but considering buying the Penom Serial, which unfortunately seems out of stock. Does anyone know if production has ended? Or are they are just restocking?- TWidXugA

DUNU - Discussion/Impressions Master Thread
Just dropping in to say hi to this thread (Dunu fan since the EST 112), and chill the Dunu SA6 Ultra: The SA6 Ultra (both blue) is my favourite IEM atm, and I prefer it to most of my trybrids (I have a few, mest mk2 included). Has been my favourite IEM since I received my unit (new from...- TWidXugA

Comment by 'TWidXugA' in item 'DUNU SA6 Ultra'
I was probably one of the last orders (blue + blue) on the late hours of the last day when the Ultras were available. Asked about shipping times on Hifigo, and they mentioned that these are hand-built, and that they only produce 10 to 20 units a day, so it will take 2 to 3 weeks to dispatch my...- TWidXugA

Tin HiFi Impressions Thread
Well, I got my Tin P1 Max Giant Panda, and I love it, I really, really do! It is by far the best planar I've tried so far, at least for my musical tastes (lots of jazz and orchestral, OSTs, 70s prog). It's got that planar resolution that never falters, very nice treble extension without fatigue...- TWidXugA

Shuoer impressions thread
Yup, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, especially since a simple damper does the trick. I bought mine soon after they came out, and it makes sense for manufacturers to fine-tune production as they get more experience with new models. In any case, for the record, I am still...- TWidXugA

Shuoer impressions thread
So my EJ07m returned last week from a 2 month round trip to China for a channel imbalance repair (almost all of that time in transit). Service from HifiGo and Shuoer was excellent, and the IEM was returned to me fixed and in good condition. Interestingly, now I don't find it necessary to use...- TWidXugA

7Hz Impressions & Discussion
@redrol has a very interesting video about soundstage, with a relevant mention of the 7hz timeless. In short, QC issues might explain why some 7hz timeless have excellent soundstage, some have a brick wall instead, and some (like Crin's) just have channel imbalance... a bit of an echo of the...- TWidXugA

Thanks, good suggestion. Tried it, but unfortunately I still see the channel imbalance even without dampers and with clean grills. Good to know Shuoer has good customer support though. EDIT: Removed conclusions over the effect of dampers for now.- TWidXugA

Shuoer impressions thread
So, I thought something was not right with my EJ07m... and since I was having fun with graphing IEMs anyway, I found a massive channel imbalance in the bass and sub-bass, right where the DD should be doing its thing (these measurements were taken while using Tanchjim Tanya Dampers on the EJ07m)...- TWidXugA

Tripowin x HBB: Mele/Olina - Discussion Thread - Olina OUT now
So I got my Mele this week, after a month's worth of wait... and I love it all, from build quality to sound, especially the tuning. Sound-wise it feels like a polished, mature sounding earphone that I can use for every genre, even classical, because timbre and tuning are spot on. Not the most...- TWidXugA

I usually like @Gizaudio, but that specific review seems to be of a different product, as if the script was swaped with that of the Xenns Up or something. It could be that he needs Tanchjim dampers, but even then, the ej07m is just not like what is described.- TWidXugA
