Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Jason- Do you guys burn in components before you measure them? What about letting them warm up? I think Mike posted something about components measuring differently as they warm up, but I can't remember where. Just wondering if you take these into account, or if you have noticed a...- ejwiles

Throw a little Schiit sticker in with each product. I see these all the time with Yeti coolers, I bet I'd see a bunch if Schiit did the same.- ejwiles

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
Can't speak to the other two, but the 70's Russians can be great. It depends on the year, type, construction, etc. PM rb2013. I have some '74 Reflektors I purchased from him, and they are very clear and holographic. He's currently "on vacation" from this thread, but is very knowledgeable and...- ejwiles

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
I just have my original CD from when it came out. Would be awesome on vinyl, I may have to check eBay. I also love the AIC "in between" albums (SAP and Jar of Flies). I'd love it if more bands would record and release faster and not try to make everything so perfect. Paralysis by analysis... -
What Are You Listening To Right Now?
Mad Season - Above: I love some of these old "project" albums. Not produced to within an inch of their life, just recorded and released. -
NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!
Not a direct comparison, but I have the Lyr 1 and with the 74 Reflektors I thought the Lyr was fuller, clearer, and had more slam. Love the Vali, but felt the Lyr was a definite step up. How long have you had the Lyr 2 and HG's? Never heard either, but looking forward to it someday.- ejwiles

Rob- I don't claim to speak for anyone else, but I really don't hope you sign off, especially in response to someone in particular. There are a lot of people who really value what you have to say. You've happily shared your knowledge and a VERY important part of this thread. I am right...- ejwiles

Actually, correct. The original Lyr has pre-outs. It looks like you're right about B stock though. Does anyone know why black is being offered again? Another supplier screw up?- ejwiles

Schiit Owners Unite
Don't back down, I'm with you. Whether it's something an engineer can measure, all in your head, or friction from the spinning platter warming the air in the room, I get a warm and fuzzy feeling from vinyl. My main rig is digital, and that's where I do 90% of my listening. I don't find it...- ejwiles

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Angry Yoda Baldr- As a non-engineer, I am curious about your comment about warming your gear up. Could you explain why? I have a Bifrost Uber feeding an original Lyr. I get (or at least I think I do) why tubes may need to be warmed up, but how are digital devices like the Birfost...- ejwiles

Because they'll just get left behind the next time Apple decides to change connectors. Much safer from a manufacturer's perspective to just go with an open standard like Bluetooth, even if audio quality sucks.- ejwiles
