iPhone 7/7+ Compact External DAC/Amp Thread
Yes, I agree, more generic would be good. However, I am really impressed by the Audeze Cypher Cable on the EL8-Titanium that I bought. Really impressed. I bought a Fiio X3 thinkink I was missing out on something by not have a good source player versus my iPhone. Well, the iPhone with Cypher...- kevroc

iPhone 7/7+ Compact External DAC/Amp Thread
Not really any noticeable improvement in audio quality, maybe a smidgin better but not enough to justify the extra hassle. I'm using the Shure 846's and am really looking forward to their Lightning DAC Cable. For now I'm going to use the EL-8's with Cipher Cable (they are extraordinary)...- kevroc

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones
I've been using the new Powerbeats 3 for exercise, and they're great. I've debated about using my iSine 20's instead, but figure that I'd never appreciate the audio quality enough "while working out" to justify risking it. The PB3's have the same ear hook design so they are very stable...- kevroc

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones
I just got my iSine 20's with the lightning cable. OMG, I'm blown away! That's really all I can say... I'm not an audiophile, but I enjoy clear, clean music where I can hear the instruments and feel like I'm listening live. A few years back I had some Westone 4's and then some Shure...- kevroc

Sony EX1000 Review and Impressions Thread (with comparisons to FX700, GR10 and e-Q5)
I've owned mine for several months now and really can't believe the quality out of them. I use them with comply's and mostly listen to rock, soft rock and occasionally classical. I've been through the W4, 535 and most recently the UE900. Nothing can seem to compare overall to these EX1000's...- kevroc

Sony MDR EX-1000 Disappointment (I Need Help!)
I just got the Comply Ts-200's (are those the same as the Shure Olives??). I did have the regular comply's but the fit didn't seem much improved over the Sony tips. I love the EX1000's and have never had an issue with the treble or sound. The fit just doesn't seem to have been designed to be...- kevroc

What should i get (IEM) for budget of $350??? sugestion please
"i hope the saying "you get what you pay for " is still true in this case." I believe it is. Some things to consider. 1. Your music source 2. Your music quality 3. Portability 4. Comfort 5. Noise isolation I've purchased the Sony EX1000, Shure 535 and Westone 4's...- kevroc

Sennheiser CX 680 for running/gym headphones?
Yes, I have them. Got them about a month ago specifically for the gym. I watch movies and stuff at the gym on my iPhone and these are great for it. I would not use them running though. I don't like in-ear for outdoor use, I like to hear what's going on around me. For running I'd pick the...- kevroc

Good quality Earphones\Headphones Recommendation for playing basketball + running + general use
Everything I've read about the Beats (as much as I'd like to like them as well) are that they are not durable at all and very prone to failure.- kevroc

Workout Headphone Review – Sennheiser/Adidas CX 680 Sports & PMX 680 Sports
Just got my CX680i's yesterday and took them to the gym. My gym is really noisy and usually have to listen to stuff at 1/2 (music) to 3/4 (movies) volume on my iPhone. I have been using Klipsch Image 4si, and they've been great with the oval eartips, but I have to keep adjusting them as they...- kevroc

Sony mdr ex1000 or Others?
I just got my EX1000's from Amazon, $324 shipped. I've been using W4's and have tried the 535's. I would have to drop the EX1000's right in between those two. The 535's for me were a little too much. The sound detail was amazing, but something about them were screechy like. Not a technical...- kevroc

UE Superfi 5 Pro
So, I sold my 535's and am awaiting my new/old W4's to get here and was rummaging through my audio box and came across my Shure E2c's (yuck) and my UE Superfi.5 Pro's. Had to look them up as I didn't know which model they were. Any way, they're pretty good. They don't seem quite on par...- kevroc

Just bought the Shure SE535, did I make a mistake?
Well I had sold my W4's and have been using the 535's, and really like them on classical. It's funny because you can hear the musicians chairs creaking as they move and breathing and every little detail, maybe almost too much. I repurchased the W4's and get them today. Honestly one of...- kevroc

Just bought the Shure SE535, did I make a mistake?
I've had some time with both the W4 and Shure 535's and they're both really excellent. I have several lower end headphones in the $100 range and they just don't compare at all, almost hard to listen to them now. From a non audiophile perspective, the Shure's have some more bass and just seem...- kevroc

Quality cables with in-line microphone? Any ideas?
How about the "music cable" by Shure. I've only used it a little but it seems really durable. I was also reading a thread where you can get custom tips (UM56 I think) for Shure's so it's the best of both worlds.- kevroc
