FiiO’s Upgraded Bluetooth Amplifier BTR1K: Qualcomm QCC 3005 BT chip, BT 5.0 and aptX /aptX LL/AAC supported, RGB light, NFC pairing, Type C and USB DAC
Thanks for the review. Initially I was excited to get this to pair with my HTC U11 (no 3.5mm jack) but thinking about it, it is not much different from my X1. Arguably I might get better sound from my X1. Is there something that I'm missing out? I don't really see a reason to switch except the...- Xeset

IIRC rockbox could do this. BTW The scroll wheel works really well with FW 1.6!- Xeset

You could use the WHQL drivers, or the W10 beta drivers. All work for me. I don't use foobar but have you tried looking into the options and checking which device it is playing the sounds to?- Xeset

I agree, and I have no idea why they switched. The sonic studio is so much nicer to use. If you want to use the dolby home theatre and don't mind an uglier and not-so-intuitive control panel then you should. Sound-wise I have no idea.- Xeset

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
After my friend introduced the msr7 to me in July, I was really tempted to get it for myself. I finally caved after coming across a good deal. As a newbie to headphones,I do not have any way to transport them safely and I would like to ask for recommendations. I'm from Singapore, so if any...- Xeset

Anybody has recommendations for DAPs? I'm using the x1 together with the rockets but they fall out at the slightest tug. I'm considering to sell the x1 to get the Sony a10 series but I'm hoping for a cheaper alternative.- Xeset

Yes you're right. But personally I think that the reason why they didn't post the specifications of the new display is not to anger the early adopters. When I first read the news of the change, and I saw the part where they said the viewing angle is slightly lowered, the selfish part of me felt...- Xeset

Yes there is no evidence. I merely stated that it was my opinion. Why I used the word 'probably' is because I believe that the reason why they could not source the components any more is due to them being obsolete - hence newer hardware. With regards to the responsiveness, I was referring to...- Xeset

Like I mentioned before, I feel the scroll wheel being more responsive. On pre-1.3 models, it wasn't very responsive, and I did upgrade it to 1.3. Screen looks better, seems like resolution is better. 1.4 Firmware wouldn't fix any issues because it only brings in support for the new...- Xeset

Since 1.2, there has been 2 hardware revisions. 1.3 - Display change. 1.4 - RAM change. It's detailed on the FB page, you can scroll back. I got my pre-1.3 replaced to a 1.4 and I feel it's better. I made a post about it before, you can go back to see it.- Xeset

IIRC the support came in 1.3. If you happen to get one below 1.3 then you should return it. It's 2 revisions behind.- Xeset

Mine is the X1 2nd gen, and I have the same problem. My rockets are Black and non-mic. There's a fix where you can use an extension, or buy an L-plug. I'm using the L-plug that I got off ebay(370811538281).- Xeset

A little story to share.. I had a relatively old X1 bought with fw 1.2. There was a problem where the unit would cause electronic buzzing sounds occasionally. Not liking it, I sent it in for servicing. They managed to replicate the problem and to my surprise, they gave me a new set instead of...- Xeset

Personally, I don't like the spinfits. I got 3 pairs of S sizes off MyEar in Taiwan and when I insert them deep, they go all the way in. This in itself is a good thing. However, I think it might be my problem, but they cause my ears to itch after a while. I figured it was the seams at the end...- Xeset
