Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite
I have the pleasure of introducing a WA5 into my home setup and I'm suitably impressed with the tone. I'm running Abyss with it and feeding it redbooks and HD flacs via a Bricasti M1. I'm finding it very laid back though. Almost too laid back and not fast enough. Maybe I just need to adjust...- Faddius

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
I use the HD800s and Abyss with the LAu. I'd still agree that the HD800 has more technical ability to project image around the soundstage however the Abyss is (way) more natural and deeper.- Faddius

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
Just connected the Abyss to my system for the first time. Only about 20 mins in but holey moley the bass kick is insane. Not in a techno way but in a more natural way like im listening to a live rock band and you can feel the air whoosh past every time the drummer kicks with the bass drum. Fun...- Faddius

Equipment racks - yay or nay?
I would have been a sceptic on rack and vibration control however myself and an audiophile friend were trying out Still points on my rig today with surprisingly positive results. We alternated the still points between the amp (Cavalli LAu) with no great impact, the DAC (Bricasti M1) low impact...- Faddius

DAC recommendations under 10,000 bucks
Just thought i'd also give a +1 for the Bricasti M1. Quality construction and magnificent performance. Not compared to TotalDac so cant say which is "better". I can just say the Bricasti kicks ass.:o2smile:- Faddius

Tidal Lossless Streaming
The initial streaming issues I had a couple of weeks ago have now disappeared. I wonder if they've upgraded their EU servers or capacity? Does anyone else find the iPad tidal app very slow and unresponsive? -

My Cavalli LAu and Taurus MkI are now set up side by side for some serious solid state playoff this weekend. Notes to follow on Sunday. :) It will be interesting to see if the LAu is as great as a combo with HD800s as the Taurus is.- Faddius

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
Also getting a bit of rotation on my transport is the accomplished Suzanne Vega 99.9 Degrees Fahrenheit album. There's loads of great stuff in this vocally. The arrangements are great too, with all sorts of mentalness and percussion treats jammed into the recording. Overall I think its a highly... -

AURALiC owners unite!
Having recently bought a Taurus Mk1 from a fellow Head-Fier my initial impressions (10 hours listening time) with my HD800s is that this is a great pairing! I'll try running the alpha primes and compile some notes although I'm not sure I want to stop using the HD800s...- Faddius
