My review is complete and off to editing and stay tuned for the review.

Look forward to it, Frank! I recently acquired a gently used LAu and it has been an eye opener in terms of finesse, nuances and yet so powerful. :)

Been using the LAu for about a week now. My first impressions are that this is one of those special amps. Beautiful balance and soundstage.

I agree with you Faddius it does so much so well.

And yet it is never in your face: so subtle and detailed at the same time. Btw, great review, Frank! I plugged in my 812 and listened to it on high gain. Lovely! :)

Has anyone found a particular DAC pairing that maximises the performance of the LAu?

I liked the way the K812 and the T1 play with the LAu single ended. The K812 is especially nice on the amp.

I just tried the LCD XCs on the LAu and listened to a red book of brothers in arms. Holy sh1! that was amazing!

Sorry for the lack of audiophile descriptions. That's all I've got right now.

Absolutely! It has also breathed new life into my AKG 702. :)

AND, we've got some cool stuff in the works to be shown at CanJam LA. I am pretty stoked about these new projects.

hmm, is this something I should be holding out for or should I reserve my LAu now...:)

The LAu is a mountain top amp. There will always be something "About to be released at the next show." Few amps get released and maintain TOTL status for a long time. The LAu seems to have the where with all to maintain its current place for a good while, provided you pair it with the proper headphones.

Alex is working on projects but the LAu remains in the lineup and  is still the flagship.   I think if your looking for like Eric says top of the mountain in solid state design the Gold is in the here and now.
