Right/Left Test Sound
Hmm, my sound is backwards but the phones are on right and the cables are right and plugged in right... hmm... Software doesn't seem to have a way to flip it. I changed the cables around for now (senn 650 has removable cables, so i moved right to left and vice versa), but I would like to know... -
Right/Left Test Sound
I need a right left test sound. I'm playing a game and I'm pretty sure it's backwards, and I can't find a test sound on google. Thanks, Kyle- Cyrillic

DT770/80 Buzz?
I bought a pair of these used recently and they have a buzz in the right earphone. Can anyone tell me if they've experienced this and/or know how it can be fixed? I assume these can be opened up easy enough since the headphile guy does mods on them. I'm not worried about popping them open if...- Cyrillic

dt770 isolate well?
how would the isolation compare with the hd-25-1? I'm actually considering IEMs now cause they isolate so much better, but I would still prefer circumaural if it can get the job done.- Cyrillic

dt770 isolate well?
So this comes with multiple impedances? Which is the one I want considering the setup in my sig? I can't really remember the details regarding the differences any more, so if someone could send me to a link of the correct one, that'd rock. Thanks again, Kyle- Cyrillic

dt770 isolate well?
I don't think the a900 does as well either. I'm not worried about "vice-grip" since I have hd-25-1- Cyrillic

dt770 isolate well?
Hi, Looking for recommendations on isolating circumaural phones, but nobody could say anything, so I'm taking a guess at some phones that I would like. The purpose of this set ofphones is isolation and comfort. Will the 770s deliver? Isolation is the most important factor, moreso than sound...- Cyrillic

Isolating Circumaural Phones?
Hey, Been a while since I've been here. I actually managed to get in and out of this hobby with a total cost under $500 and a complete setup, and I've put tons of hours on them happily, but now my needs changed a little. I need more isolation cause there's too much noise around me. I have...- Cyrillic

Using Receiver as Headphone Amp--Static Issue
I get some static out of the headphone output jack on my Sansui 4000, which is somewhere around 20-30 years old. Is it fixable or just a product of the fact that it's made for speakers mainly? The static isn't something I can live with--it's far too noticable. No static on the speakers...- Cyrillic

Speakers: Technics SB-2765, Advent Legacy II, or Sony SS-U580?
I thought these were older than the 90's. Mine are slightly different than that picture because they have a logo on them. Also the wood is nicer on mine. Not sure about the price though. I read somewhere that someone paid $380 for them sometime in the 80s. I only thought they were 70's or 80's... -
Speakers: Technics SB-2765, Advent Legacy II, or Sony SS-U580?
Looks like I just solved my own problem... I found a Sansui 4000 and it's well received here, so I can't believe the Technics one is better than the Sansui. I'll use the Sansui unless someone has evidence why I shouldn't. -
Speakers: Technics SB-2765, Advent Legacy II, or Sony SS-U580?
I'm reading some good stuff about Legacy on this forum, too, so I guess that must be the one. But then my next question is: is my amplifier good enough for it? Now the answer from a head-fier must be "no, spend more money", but seriously, are they OK at all? If not, how much would a suitable... -
Speakers: Technics SB-2765, Advent Legacy II, or Sony SS-U580?
Edit: I solved my own question... I found a Sansui 4000 and I'm pretty sure now that the Legacy II is the best pretty easily. Thanks though. So I can choose between any of these speakers with a Technics Integrated Amplifier SU-V96. I doubt many if any people have experience with all these or...- Cyrillic

My Grado RS-1 arrived. Hmmn... not sure.
I actually like the bowls. They don't bother my head at all, and they sounded great. Granted, I had no flats to try on that particular phone (the RS-1), but I'm sure I would have liked them too.- Cyrillic

My Grado RS-1 arrived. Hmmn... not sure.
I don't even listen to my cans before burn in. As for the pads, use the SR-80's. As for the headband size, looks like you're SOL on that one if it's a serious issue... that is, unless you're skilled enough to rig something up yourself .- Cyrillic

EMU / Patchmix Mic in Help
Why? I can get the microphone into the sound card no problem... I'm doing this on the cheap, so a mic amp is out of the question. I'll never use that thing for anything near its intended purpose. I'll use my onboard sound before I have to buy something, but I really do want this thing to work...- Cyrillic

EMU / Patchmix Mic in Help
I have a mic that has a 1/8" plug, so I had to build an adapter (which is tested working), and I'm putting the dual monos in the analog inputs. However, when I try and use this in games it doesn't work. I'm guessing something is wrong in patchmix, but I can't get it to work. I read the manual...- Cyrillic

What brand of CPU do you like?
Well if you play games and don't prefer AMD, you're ignorant/dumb/crazy/combination. They clearly come out ahead in all recent benchmarks I've seen. For pure applications processing, though, I believe intel is quicker. I don't care too much about computing long processes, though, and I play...- Cyrillic

HD650+Microphone?
Sound quality never came into my mind in the sense that you are talking about. When I say "sacrificing sound quality", I mean being forced to put on a pair of headphones that have a mic built in, such as the $50 logitech pair. Anyway, I solved my own problem. If any of you are in the same...- Cyrillic

Found a cure for my upgrade-itus
Thread starter, apparently you understand my sig then? I put this thing on a year ago and I haven't gotten anything new since (actually I sold one pair--my MS-2s). I'd rather listen to new music through a pair of $20 PC speakers than the same old stuff every day through the 650s. In fact, half...- Cyrillic
