The Future Of Sennheiser
Thanks for the article. Almost all of my headphones have been Sennheiser over the years with 800S being my current favorite. I hope that the quality I expect continues.- teb1013

Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite
I have been using the WA-7 for 2 years now. Beautiful and sounds great for me, although I moved from the onboard DAC in part because my iphone or iPads weren’t powerful enough to drive it and I wasn’t satisfied with results from a powered hub. I use the Fireflies it to drive Sennheiser HD600...- teb1013

Using Sennheiser HD800 with an iPad
I just got the 800S. So far the Woo WA-7 seems fine for driving them. I have been using a Yamaha CDS300 as a CD player and a DAC for my iPhone 8+.- teb1013

Tidal Lossless Streaming
Today my Tidal account disappeared. The web site still had my name, password etc but not any information on my subscription and I had to re-subscribe. It only took a few minutes to straighten it out but it was strange. -

Mine is working fine on my iPhone and iPad. -
Best headphones for classical music
My main headphone has been the Sennheiser HD600 and 6xx (650 equivalent) for almost everything. I had been disappointed with the HD700 they seemed bass light and somewhat wearing to listen to. I have just started using them exclusively for classical music (source Primephonic) and am very pleased...- teb1013

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
I have recently gone back to my 700s after sticking with the 600s and 6xx (650 equivalent) for some time. I didn’t like the way the 700s sounded with the rock and jazz I prefer and seemed to be lacking the bass punch with certain songs. With classical music, I am, however, finding these very...- teb1013

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I am actually re-trying my HD700s primarily with classical music. I found that they lacked bass for rock or jazz, while I love the HD600s or 6xx (650 equivalent). Right now the 700s seem very good as a neutral headphone for classical and I’m going to give them more chance when I’m in the...- teb1013

Tidal Lossless Streaming
I have never tried Quboz, and I find the sound quality of Tidal to be fine (for my ears anyway), but I agree with your comment on the format of the Tidal format. You are simply presented with several versions of each album with no guidance of the sound quality of each. I will have to check out... -
Tidal Lossless Streaming
I’m glad it gives you the information you need. Perhaps I don’t fully understand the functions of the cable you are referring to and how it would obviate the need for a powered hub. If it works, great! -
Tidal Lossless Streaming
For my Woo WA-7 Fireflies I simply use the basic Apple to USB adapter and route it through a powered USB hub and then to the USB input on the DAC/Amp. It works fine, if I don’t use a powered hub I get the old “insufficient power” reading. I don’t know if this answers your question. -

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
I have recently rotated back to my HD 600s for a while. The 600s seem richer and are more comfortable for long wearing than the 700s, although the 700s are noticeably more detailed. The 600s are easier listening. Perhaps I’m missing something about the 700s.- teb1013

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I have just returned to wearing my HD600s after wearing my newer HD700s for a while. I find the 600s sound richer and are more comfortable than the 700s, even though the latter are probably more detailed. Easier to wear for extended times. I’m going to give the good old 600s a bit more wear!- teb1013

Tidal Lossless Streaming
I stream from either an iPhone or iPad through a Woo WA-7 DAC/Amp. I use the iOS mobile App and have none of the problems that others seem to have had with other versions. -
Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
Just got my HD700 from Massdrop. Playing from iPhone 8S through Woo WA7d, sounds good but I need to listen for a while before I can do a good comparison with my HD600s. Is there an accepted comparison in the community? Very comfortable though, my 600s needed a little breaking in before they...- teb1013

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
Well I have the SD700s ordered from Massdrop, self Christmas present I guess. I currently run my SD600s on a WA7 with upgraded tubes and it sounds good. Does anyone have comments on the pairing with the 700s?- teb1013

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I just got the WA7d on Massdrop and upgraded the tubes, although you’re correct that there are limited tube rolling choices, I find the WA7 wonderful and a definite improvement on the Shiit Vali2 or the Aune T1 both of which I used with a top notch Amperex 7308 tube. Perhaps the beauty of the...- teb1013

I don’t know if this was meantioned earlier in this thread but these are currently on Massdrop for $399.99, I don’t know how that compares with other sources. They are going to expire in a few hours.- teb1013

WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!
I got my WA7 from Massdrop too and have the solid state power supply. Just wasn’t able to drop the additional $600 at this time. I have upgraded the tubes over the Sovtek. Frankly I didn’t run it with the Sovtek long enough to fully evaluate them, but the upgraded Reflector tubes seem excellent...- teb1013

WOO-HOOOO... WA7 "fireflies"!!!
Well, I did it! I ordered the WA7 through Massdrop and got it yesterday. Setup was a snap. Even with the standard tubes the sound quality is great through my Sennheiser HD600 headphones. Of course, I may be be wanting these to sound better, but I’m listening to very familiar tracks that I...- teb1013
