Sony NW-ZX300
Hi all, sorry if this is a stupid question or has already been answered. Has there been any announcement/speculation of a new successor to the ZX300? I'm thinking of picking up one of these soon. I'm just wondering if I should wait just in case there's a new model round the corner. Thanks! :)- bluesyfluesy

hi all, is there a consensus whether the 24-bit mode or 32-bit mode should be used for the best output?- bluesyfluesy

i'm pretty sure I'm using m3u playlist for my opus right now. you have to move it to the Playlists folder in internal storage.- bluesyfluesy

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
if i remember correctly, you will need to do a full rescan if you unmount it like this (which takes so long!). if you turn it off you can just select “scan for new songs” option.- bluesyfluesy

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
hi, unfortunately this is problem with quite a few DAP (including AK320, Opus#2...). what i do for DP-X1 is to turn it off, remove microSD and use card reader for use with PC. and before you turn on the DP-X1, insert the microSD back and you won’t have to rescan again! i hope this removes some...- bluesyfluesy

yup! actually a few weeks ago i applied black sugru fill the gaps just in case. the gaps on my dp-x1 are very small anyway so it was a bit difficult to get the sugru in. also black sugru look well with the dp-x1. also i understand your sentiment, i got a new player (opus#2), as i have feeling...- bluesyfluesy

i think you shouldnt be too afraid of changing the settings, so far after nearly 2 years of using DP-X1 i have never find a setting to affect sound in such a huge (and bad) way. yours probably suffered from a very rare bug or something. you should definitely adjust the lock range/digital filter...- bluesyfluesy

im quite sure dual dacs and amps is only for 2.5mm. which is why quite a few people say 2.5mm balanced on dp-x1 is significantly better than 3.5mm!- bluesyfluesy

actually, within minutes of sending an email i got a call from Eric from Effect Audio clarifying about the inverted polarity! he recommends swapping the polarities for the connectors too. only downside is i have to wait till local holiday period is over :)- bluesyfluesy

Effect Audio cables thread
Ah, i see, thanks for clarifying that. another thing about my Hidition NT-6 Pro is that the polarity for the connection is inverted. would that require me to make a special request to have the pins soldered differently to accommodate the inverted polarity style? or would it not matter, since...- bluesyfluesy
