Westone 4r Vs Shure SE846 whats the best?
If it's a case of looking for end of the rainbow, the SE846 would be the clear choice over the W4R. The ASG2 might also be considered over the W4R if not going with the SE846, a great IEM in its own right with more bass than the W4R but not to the point of overpowering. I have all 3, and think...- mongol

It's an upgrade. Basically what Spyro said. The SE846s sound more lively with better clarity.- mongol

Rank the IEM's you've heard
Updated. SE846>ASG2>W4R>UE900>UM3XRC>SE535>SM3 I've heard the AKG3003 and IE800, but not long enough to give a real opinion. Both did sound pretty nice for the time I listened, but still preferred the SE846 over both.- mongol

What Live concerts have you attended?
Iron Maiden again, with Alice Cooper opening, last year. That was a phenomenal show. Opeth again back in April. Concert scene has been pretty dry for my tastes lately, but going to see Steve Vai on November 8th for the first time. -
Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Quote: I didn't listen to the IE800 for more than a minute so can't comment on the sound, but they are incredibly small. Waaayyyy too small. The Shures win hands down in that respect.- mongol

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)
I think the SE846 looks much better than both the IE800s and 3003 (not to mention much better ergonomically). The straight bodies of those look rather plain, and the IE800 is just too small.- mongol

ASG2.0 Owners Unite
I just went with the standard model, and have serial #131008. If that means I have the 8th ones made, that's pretty cool. And I love these too.- mongol

THE BEATLES ARE OVERRATED
Quote: That is completely illogical and simply not true. It would have happened anyway - Hendrix or the Doors or whoever would have come along anyway, and paved the way if they had to. -

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
Received my ASG-2s regular yesterday :) Haven't listened much, but first impressions are quite positive and I think these will complement the W4 and UE900 quite nicely. Unfortunately have to go to work, but with OOTP14 preorders being released today and brand-new IEM's waiting to be broken in...- mongol

knife-fi?
Ended up buying a Spyerco Southard folder instead of the Sage 1. Great great knife. Had a look at the Benchmade 300SN yesterday, but the flipper action was a bit disappointing - the Southard has significantly better action. But the 300SN is nice otherwise. Would prefer it in, say, M390 steel...- mongol

Watches - another passion of ours, it seems...post your pics!
Quote: I have a 6.75" wrist, and the CW C10 at 42mm fits well. Don't think I'd go higher than that, but yeah it does depend on design, the Stowa Antea being a prime example where I have the 365 instead of the 390. Btw did see your post asking for C10 pics, but I absolutely suck...- mongol

Why would you grow out of metal? To do what, listen to Celine Dion? No thanks :)
