Audio Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 review - Take two subwoofers...straight to the head.
*Haven't read the past ~50 posts on this threead* My story: Got the ANVs, dropped a good 80hrs on em. My nephew (bless the little bugger) got me a Topping D2 (he heard me talking about dacs and amps so he went for the best he could find on eBay) - it's not that bad, actually. Not...- kjf123

Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???
Still trying to figure out the extreme EQ software, but in the meantime I'm casually fiddling with my player's EQ. EDIT: I have looked at quite a few self-EQ guides on HF, but I still can't seem to understand the programs. Any other resources you guys could recommend? (VTS Host + VAC in...- kjf123

I have $400 to spend on a new set of cans. I have an Asgard that powers my AT Pro 700s (LE). Getting into the classical and and rock atm. I'm thinking Q701? This will be an impulse buy so I'm hoping I get some recommendations soon!!!- kjf123

Audio Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 review - Take two subwoofers...straight to the head.
Cheers for the info mate. Seems like you know your stuff considering you're rocking xb700s as your ports! I'd add more, but it wouldn't be topic specific. You might find me in that huge thread where all the noobs ask questions! :D Quote: How you doin, BIM? I'm...- kjf123

Audio Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 review - Take two subwoofers...straight to the head.
Quote: Preference is king. As a novice, I understand that the xb700 is quite a bass-heavy can. As a result I'm not going to put you down for preferring a different can within a similar "genre" or "class" as the Pro7hundy. I would, however, like to know why you prefer the m50 over...- kjf123

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Quote: I looked up the impedance of the 701 and it looks like it's 62ohm. From that number I'm assuming it's quite an easy can to drive? (Amp not exactly 'required') - Speaking of amps, next purchase should be an Asgard. If you had ~$300AUD to spend, and you had Pro700mk2 ANV...- kjf123

Okay (don't hate me just yet...) I've read the first post in this thread and I've been slowly perusing since the start of this year. Currently rocking Pro700 mk2 ANV I bough these cans knowing that 90% of my library was bass-heavy tracks. I still love my bass (like...- kjf123

Audio Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 review - Take two subwoofers...straight to the head.
Quote: I got at it with my trusty screwdriver to see what I was actually moving. I was able to spin the metal 'grate' which protects the speaker. This was the same for both L and R. I undid the 4 screws as you can see. Flipped the whole unit over and checked the 3 on the back (thanks...- kjf123

Audio Technica ATH-PRO700MK2 review - Take two subwoofers...straight to the head.
I've had mine for a few weeks now and I've loved every minute of em. However, yesterday I took the pads off just to see how easy the 'replacement procedure' would be. Also I wanted to get a better look at the drivers. Here's where I found something that I'm a bit worried about...- kjf123

TEAC UD-H01 USB DAC
What do you guys think of the A-H01? I am very attracted to the fact that it is a DAC, headphone amp, and can run my small speakers and sub. Considering I can pick one up for $500 it seems like a steal given what it offers. I read on the previous page one poster said he was...- kjf123

Not sure for 100$
Quote: Hey, When you say '77 are you talking about a 1977 item? I.E; something 2nd hand? Do you think eBay would be the best place to look for older TTs? I still like the LP60 :P Might save up a bit for a 120.- kjf123

Quote: I had a go. Was good; but to me that's all it was. What I'm listening to right now: Edit: (WRT my most recent post in this thread); EL-P and Ill Bill sound quite similar. Can anyone find a link to the physical CD? (Currently listening through youtube @ 240p... -

Computer optimisation! (For a newbie)
Sorry to bump this thread but...... I'm still hearing the hiss. I have just spent $60AUD on CDs (albums of which I only had 320 or ~256). Ripped them (apple lossless....) but it's still quite noticeable. Now, I've started enjoying classical (noob here) so I got some FLAC of...- kjf123

Not sure for 100$
Surely there would be some household items that could be used for cleaning...? At any rate, the LP60 comes with a "dust cover". So you mightn't have problems (unless you're living in a dust bin per reaqter's post) if you just make sure you always have your TT covered. Don't be an...- kjf123

Not sure for 100$
I reckon you just type those exact words into eBay and you'll find what you're after. I found a few that ship from Australia for about $20 that seem to fit the bill. I'm going to have to look into a Stylus Force gauge - I have no idea what it is! Let me know how you go with the LP60...- kjf123

Schiit Asgard: Unboxing and First Impressions
I don't know about distributors in your area, but if you can't find anything get if from Schiit directly IMO. Edit: You could send 'em an email asking for distributors in your area. For me shipping is ~$60 which I can handle. Turns out to be about $10 cheaper from Schiit directly...- kjf123
