Any Interest in a Thread on Classical Pianists & Recordings?
I like Argerich's 'The Legendary 1965 Recording' and also her 'Debut Recital'. Particularly the Liszt stuff on the debut. -
Where to Start with The Grateful Dead?
I couldn't get into them until after listening to the live stuff, and now I still prefer the live stuff. Europe '72 is good. I also quite like Live/Dead for the longer jammy-type sound. And then, of course, they're probably the most well-known band in the world for allowing people to distribute... -
How to pick a good financial adviser?
Why would you got to a financial adviser if you're somewhat competent in regards to this stuff? (as demonstrated by handling your own retirement stuff) I'd say skip the financial planner and put money in some index funds (incredibly generic advice..), especially since most active money...- axion

Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd versus the Later Floyd
It's a bit of an unfair comparison really, one album vs. a whole catalouge. Like the choice between Piper by itself and DSoTM, The Wall, WYWH, etc. is not a hard choice at all really. That being said I rate Piper pretty highly among Floyd albums as it's a lot of fun to listen to, and well... -

Tips for studying?
Lol, it's not even NCEA yet dude, just chill out. You don't need to do exceptionally well on these exams. You just need to do well enough so you're allowed to do next year. Although, actually, I think some of my Level 1 classes were streamed (English and math) so it might be good to do well in...- axion

My 13-year old wants a cell phone. Help
Wow, what is this the 1950's? LOL. I had a cellphone when I was 13/14 (5-6 years ago) and it was sort of common back then. Nowadays I'd be surprised if someone didn't have a cellphone at that age. It is just incredibly common. Now I'm not sure about the effects of this and I know there's...- axion

The $40,000 question
I'd go for the BMW. The new benz logo looks as ugly as anything, I prefer the more refined little stick up emblem from other models. Also, not sure if this is true or not but it's something that's been in my head for years now, and that is that BMWs own Mercs at the low price range, and vice...- axion

Trip to NZ
I think we take a lot of the stuff in NZ for granted. Plus, I'm not sure about the others here from NZ but I haven't really done many of the quintessential NZ touristy things. Were you studying at Vic?- axion
