What Are You Listening To Right Now?
On the "Singularity" album of Silent Strike -
Office headphone recommendations?
You could take a look at Sony MDR 1 (good soundstage for a closed can, decent bass, very comfortable) or even at Focal Spirit One, or the newer and more expensive Spirit Classic and Pro. These are just alternatives, your ear must decide anyway.- Andreas_D

AKG K601 & K612 Pro Owners... UNITE!!
Quote: Somebody wrote this about Q models on other thread and definitely I've noticed these symptoms on my K612. After a few days I am sure that they feels cheaper than my ex k601, sound-wise at least should be same quality, just profits are more consistent.- Andreas_D

Please Help Best Headphone under $100 for highs, mids
Creative Aurvana Live - known as ex Denon 1xxx - just amazing sound quality for the price plus lots of fun. I don't know if you can get a more fun (prat) headphone than CAL in its budget.- Andreas_D

I also have that sticker, but with "made in china prc" 002061 When I say quality drop, I mean between K601 and k612. A K612 made in China and one made in Austria should be the same,- Andreas_D

AKG K601 & K612 Pro Owners... UNITE!!
I think this applies to k612 too. I received my k612 this weekend and I'm very excited to rediscover my ex k601 sound, but imho with a little construction quality drop. (made in china) . I'm wondering, how much burn in do they need? I saw that Senn HD650 is a good combo with...- Andreas_D

Best basshead headphones?
You've made my day. You are very funny, but try to learn how to judge sound ( what means congested sound, what means definition, resolution, detail and other stuff like that) before you rave about Beats. I agree, they have huge cheap subwoofery one-note bass and that's end of story. As...- Andreas_D

AKG K601 & K612 Pro Owners... UNITE!!
Hi guys, I would like to give k612 a try, after I had k601 a while ago and really liked them, even without a decent dac/amp. How I'm planning to buy an usb dac/amp combo in 300$ price range. Until now I've looked at Audioquest Dragonfly, the new Fiio E18 and EHP-O2D from Epiphany...- Andreas_D

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
My Zero arrived few days ago and i'm amazed , this is my first headphone dac / amp combo. I can say it's a big improvement from an M-audio sonica theater external soundcard. I didn't wait for the stock opamp to burn in, its has been swapped with 1469 in DAC and 1361 in headphone amp section. It...- Andreas_D

Headphone reccomendation - tight and defined bass it's a must !
Yes indeed, I want to arrive my amp and then to see what changes could do to my K601 and even SR60. Actually I'm only researching but I don't think k601 would provide the amount of bass that I want. The SQ, bass wise, is great even unamplified. For the moment SR225 and Super.fi 5 remains on...- Andreas_D

Headphone reccomendation - tight and defined bass it's a must !
I think around 25h,but unamplified. I'm waiting for my amp to make them shine. I will read some reviews, if I found them, of Super.fi 5 Pro or EB to find out how it stays on the bass quality side. I think it's a kind of difference (quite big) between this 2 models, reflected also in their...- Andreas_D

Headphone reccomendation - tight and defined bass it's a must !
Ok then, 770 is definively out...Northen sound and lights ships US only, not a great news. I have heard only good things about UE Super.Fi 5Pro, very nice, smooth and clear mids and highs and the bass is there defined and controled. There is also available and extended bass version, Super.fi...- Andreas_D

Headphone reccomendation - tight and defined bass it's a must !
I think Ultrasone proline 750 is a bit expensive(400$ or 260euro), hd 650 are above my budget too. I looked even FS forum but I did't found any of these at my price range... I wil do a research about SR225/325i. How it's bass compared to SR60? (quantity and quality wise)- Andreas_D

Headphone reccomendation - tight and defined bass it's a must !
So...I want a new headphone with strong, punchy, thight and well defined bass and no harsh or sibilant highs. I have SR60, but the bass is bloated, muddy, weak definion and dynamics. The amount of bass is ok, I could say I want more... I also have K601, well defined, punchy, dynamic bass so...- Andreas_D

Congratulations! The waiting will be cruel... Untill my zero will be arrived, I'm thinking of buying a new pair of headphones. Upgrading mz Grado SR60 to Audio Technica AD900 - need some help
SR60 has slighty more bass, but I found K601 bass being more defined and little bit more dynamic, I think, less extended. They have different sound, different sound signature but bass wise I don't recommend k601 to bassheads. For the moment I don't use an amp, I started listening because I was...- Andreas_D

Upgrading mz Grado SR60 to Audio Technica AD900 - need some help
I have just bought K601, I'm pretty happy with them and i'm waiting to receive my amp to drive and burn them in. I found almost the sound that I wanted, smoother and more detalied than SR60, better soundstage. I will take some time to cure my wounded wallet and then I'll probably buy AD900(or...- Andreas_D
