Been with the senn.mx500s for a while, looking for better earbud phones!
Well, I dont have a big beef with them, I just dont like how they have to have a crazy seal in order for them to sound right. It kind of hurts my ears, and it's unpleasant to sleep with. I only tried Shures... do all canal phones require the perfect seal for the best sound, or is it just the...- GreenFloyd

Been with the senn.mx500s for a while, looking for better earbud phones!
Are there any other earphones out there that sound a lot better? I'm not a big fan of the in-ear phones, so EX71, Shure, ety is probably out of the question. What are some awesome earbud phones that I can buy? This is entirely for portable use with my mp3 player, and it will get A LOT of use...- GreenFloyd

What is the technical difference between surround phones and like the ones I have that aren't marked as so?- GreenFloyd

Are the Sony MDR CD780 headphones SURROUND? And if not... what are good surround cans
Do surround-sound headphones really even sound much difference than nice stereo headphones? Is there much of a difference, or is it really just a gimmick? Oh, and how do you listen to headphones and speakers at the same time? I think I pulled it off once, but I don't remember how I did it.- GreenFloyd

Best overall soundcard for good balance between music and games
The audigy 2 is giving me hell with some of my games (Far Cry in particular) and the software is kind of annoying. It's not all I had hoped for. I'm thinking of returning it and getting something better. What's a good overall soundcard for both good music playing and game with EAX supported...- GreenFloyd

Difference in AUDIGY 2 versions? Please help a potential buyer. Thanks.
Is the Chaintech really superior to the Audigy 2 in music quality? How would I go about plugging in my speakers to two different sound cards anyways. Seems like it would be a hassle.- GreenFloyd

No. That's the absolute LAST thing I am goign to do. I'm not that crazy obsessed. I'm really not a hardcore audiophile like everybody here is. One card is all I'm getting.- GreenFloyd

Winamp 24-bit encoder?
I read in a review @Newegg that I'll need an encoder to get the most out of a 24bit card, is this true? I don't currently have one, but once I buy one I'll need to get one. Are there different encoders? What's a good one?- GreenFloyd

Difference in AUDIGY 2 versions? Please help a potential buyer. Thanks.
Yeah, people keep trying to convince me to buy a different card for music (I do indeed listen to music much more than playing games on my computer), but I've gotten so many sparatic suggestions I can't cling to anything. Some say Santa Cruz, some say Chaintech, some say Revolution, some say...- GreenFloyd

Difference in AUDIGY 2 versions? Please help a potential buyer. Thanks.
Newegg has two versions, one "SB0244" version for $69 and the ZS "SB0350" version that looks different (plug-ins aren't colored, for one). I went to different sites and they have versions such as "SB0240" and the ZS for various prices. WHat is the difference?!?!! p.s. cool new...- GreenFloyd

Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.... How does it compare?
How does it compare to M-Audio Revolution? Audigy 2? I'm looking for a good card (a step up from my soundblaster live!, anyways). This is so cheap and I've heard such good things. I will most likely end up just going with the Audigy 2, but I want to make sure I don't ignore the other...- GreenFloyd

Do you have any reverb or chorus on your soundcard?
In the EAX control panel, what do you configure your things to? I'm curious. I didn't even know about this until now. It kind of sounds cool with reverb, but I don't know how good it would be for gaming. Better?- GreenFloyd

Creative Soundblaster Live! 5.1 ---> Audigy 2, worthwhile?
What's a good PURE music Sound Card then? I'm much more concerned with my music than my games. I have a 4.1 setup btw, will the Audigy 2 or whichver card improve vs. my SoundB. Live! 5.1? I don't need a 5.1 or higher setup to enjoy the benefits of a new soundcard? What's the better soundcard...- GreenFloyd

Those of you with Creative drivers/sound card... what do you have settings at?
Now how would I go about adjusting the volume easily when plugging into the soundcard? There is no volume control on the headphones or anything. hmm.... I guess I might have to resort to just using the headphone plug on the controle module for my z560s.- GreenFloyd

Best/Cheapest Y-Splitter for Headphone/Speaker connections?
my headphones have a plug to unplug from the phones so I can just keep the cable plugged in at all times and unplug from the phones when I want to listen through speakers. And no, it was on 4-speaker set up. Why would I put on 5.1 when I only have 4.1 stereo setup? I have a Soundblaster Live...- GreenFloyd
