In the EAX control panel, what do you configure your things to? I'm curious.

I didn't even know about this until now. It kind of sounds cool with reverb, but I don't know how good it would be for gaming. Better?

I listen to "dance" music so I kick off some reverb on occasion to give a clubby sound to the tracks.

totally flat and no effects.

if you want better sound, try Windows Media Player. There is a SRS function which you can play with.

For those rare times that I listen to my computer, I tend to have everything flat... its quite scarey using that SRS function for say 5 minutes, and then switching it off, just how much it *ahem* adds to the sound... not sure if thats a good thing or not...
