Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I was fortunate to acquire a pair of Falcons a few days ago and have been using them non stop ever since. I'm not going to get into sound opinions other than I've been using foam tips for years on the original K10s and going to silicon tips makes the Falcons sound a bit bright at times. Given...- MT0227

HI... 1) You connect Poly via WiFi, Poly's Hotspot or Bluetooth. The latter is ok but not optimal for best sound quality. 2) If you connect your phone to Poly's hotspot, you won't be able to access the internet (with your phone) unless you perform a simple modification to the network...- MT0227

Thanks for the reply, I will wait for @Matt Bartlett but at least I've seemed to figure out a common path to stability. Took a some trial and error...a lot of error and head scratching, but everything sounds just fine and was well worth the challenge. Also, I don't get any album art with DSD...- MT0227

HI all....I just received my Poly and updated it to firmware 2.0. After some tinkering, I finally have it playing pretty stably using Glider when connecting to my iPhoneX via Wifi; I'm just trying to understand what some of it means: > First.... If I want to stream iTunes; I select the -...- MT0227

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
The K10Us present the mids/vocals more forward than the Roxys. I will use my K10Us across the full spectrum, but they shine with highly produced, well mastered recordings (and expose those which are not). I go to the Roxys for live recordings and where detailed technical listing is not on...- MT0227

500 is correct, you may want to give the comfort series a try too. I've been using them for a few months; they seem to give me the best seal, without having the end of the K10 port recessed too far into tip.- MT0227

Chord Hugo - The PORTABLE discussion thread
My AK120 Titan will play DSD (DSF) files, however they're decimated to 88.2 sample rate via optical out/TOSlink connection with Hugo. Hugo's light is yellow, not white. I've converted some DSF to FLAC, using Sonore DSD2FLAC, to a 176.4 sample rate and I get the white light when playing...- MT0227

Try and grab a AK120Titan, you get the dual Wolfson WM8740s, 128GB on board with 2x 64gb micro sd card slots for total of 256gb, DSD capable (decimated to 88.2 PCM via optical out), optical out. Better bang for the buck relative to the AK100II in my opinion. I'm quite happy with my...- MT0227

My Hugo is completely dark with music paused via AK120/Toslink listening through my K10Us, Roxys and HD800s I also have the TTVJ Slim w/5.1 iPod connected; it's completely dark as well listening through my Westone 4R's, UM3Xs and Beyer 1350s- MT0227

Sample Rate Question I'm using Audirvana Plus (DSD over PCM Standard 1.0) to play DSD64 files from my MAC to my Hugo via HD USB input, and get the white sample rate indicator. When I play the same file from my AK120 using Hugo's stock TOSLink cable, the sample rate indicator is 88.2...- MT0227

Have you tried to play some off a MicroSD as opposed to internal? Maybe going back a version or two in the firmware? Try to eilminate a much as you can before sending it in- MT0227

If it happens repeatedly on one particular song (file). Take a spare MicroSD card, reformat and add just that song, see if it works. If not, then you know media storage is not the answer.- MT0227

Given they are "universal" I'd would have expected the bore to be a standard length across the board. Being able to specify or choose between (S,M,L) bore length would be a nice option.- MT0227

I was going to suggest the same. I have the Titan and play 192 as well as DSDs with no issue. I was having issues at one point with the internal SSD playing/reading files (not frequency specific). The AK would crash and if played via my library it would say no files available. I...- MT0227

Interesting, the stem on the K10u is quite short in comparison to my Roxys; I personally could use about 2-3 more mm for enhanced fit/feel.- MT0227

I will certainly attest to this. My DMB studio library is 16/44 FLAC and it sounds fantastic. There's no substitute for excellent mastering and production.- MT0227
