Bingo! Bad mastering gets my goat. I'll add to that bad re-mastering. Why mess with a good thing? I'm looking at you U2: Remastered War and The Unforgettable Fire... more like the unlistenable failure. I can listen to the originals until the cows come home; these just sound awful. 

I know. I think it 'pisses me off' because there's a world of music out there, but I'm thrilled to repeat just a drop in the bucket. On the bright side of it, I guess that's a testament to the songs I do like.

I should add that the headphones I used were the B&W C5 and UE 600vi. I haven't tried the 6 with my P7s yet.

I couldn't agree more. I've tried two different headphones, switching back and forth between my iPhone 6 and 5 (both running ios8) and the 6 sounds noticeably better: warmer, a bit more detailed, less edgy at the high frequencies, and the bass has more authority.

Has anyone ready anything about the C5 series 2? I just saw it on their site. Big couple weeks for B&W...

My B&W pouch does the same to my cords, but I find that my old Etymotic pouch keeps them perfectly in place.

Ditto. I also preferred the stock tips and have just replaced them with medium comply tips. I only wish I did it sooner. They are a bit more comfortable (never thought the stock were uncomfortable) and a lot more secure.    I'm now on my second pair, actually. I unfortunately left my original...

I imagine they have a team of people who've whipped up some sort of metric that told them it's better business not to deal with you or similar sites. However, that's mighty unfortunate for us the consumer. I mean, their higher tier products are not that easy to find...
