What pisses you off while you listening music?
Bingo! Bad mastering gets my goat. I'll add to that bad re-mastering. Why mess with a good thing? I'm looking at you U2: Remastered War and The Unforgettable Fire... more like the unlistenable failure. I can listen to the originals until the cows come home; these just sound awful.- vinnievidi

What pisses you off while you listening music?
I know. I think it 'pisses me off' because there's a world of music out there, but I'm thrilled to repeat just a drop in the bucket. On the bright side of it, I guess that's a testament to the songs I do like.- vinnievidi

What pisses you off while you listening music?
Gosh, there's so much above that I can totally agree with. Off the top of my head, my contributions would be: • When the vocals are panned slightly to the left on a recording. • When I'm facing over a terabyte of music and have all the time in the world to explore it, and I get in one of those...- vinnievidi

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Audio Quality
I should add that the headphones I used were the B&W C5 and UE 600vi. I haven't tried the 6 with my P7s yet.- vinnievidi

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Audio Quality
I couldn't agree more. I've tried two different headphones, switching back and forth between my iPhone 6 and 5 (both running ios8) and the 6 sounds noticeably better: warmer, a bit more detailed, less edgy at the high frequencies, and the bass has more authority.- vinnievidi

My B&W pouch does the same to my cords, but I find that my old Etymotic pouch keeps them perfectly in place.- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
Ditto. I also preferred the stock tips and have just replaced them with medium comply tips. I only wish I did it sooner. They are a bit more comfortable (never thought the stock were uncomfortable) and a lot more secure. I'm now on my second pair, actually. I unfortunately left my original...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
I've had the C5 now for 3 months (an eternity for me!) and couldn't agree more. They are finicky, indeed, but when you get the right seal (and not a complete one) they are quite exceptional and vey much akin to the P7 in a lot of ways. Besides having to play around with the fit from...- vinnievidi

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread
Thanks for chiming in, Jamey! I imagine they have a team of people who've whipped up some sort of metric that told them it's better business not to deal with you or similar sites. However, that's mighty unfortunate for us the consumer. I mean, their higher tier products are not that easy to find...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
I would second trying the SE535LTD. I sometimes regret selling mine. From my experience, they have a bit more sparkle at the top than the SE535, which serves to balance out the mids slightly. Out of my home receiver, they had oodles of bass and were a lot more punchy/alive (relatively) than when...- vinnievidi

Hey imackler, so good to see you around here. No worries, if there was a confessional booth for Head-Fi, I'd be in there twice a week! First, I have to say that I really like how EarSonics visualizes the sound signature. I will have to go back and listen to the P7 with that in mind, to sketch...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
Right? I took my pair home and gave them another hour or two... just closed my listing. Sure, they're not the best in the world, but I like how they do what they do. I am curious to hear the UE900s in comparison to the P7, but will wait until I can get them locally or from on online site with a...- vinnievidi

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread
Thanks. I didn't see the terms of the return policy on Logitech's site, so will probably wait until I can get them somewhere else. I got my first pair from the Apple Store as well. Their current selection is pretty weak, but maybe they'll start stocking these at some point.- vinnievidi

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread
Does anyone know why sites like headphone.com or soundearphones don't carry UE, is it due to Logitech buying them a while back? I had a favorable experience with the 900 in the past and would like to try the 900s, but I would like to have the option to return then if they don't fit what I'm...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
Re. the UE900: I didn't realize that they retuned them. I had a pair in the past and thought they were a bit dry and mid-centric, but you've just piqued my interest to know more. I'll have to check that thread and do my research. Re. the C5: I find that they sound really bassy, maybe too...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
I don't know if it was burn in or just acclimation, but it took a couple days to the sound that I've come to really appreciate. Though, seeing as you liked the demo set, maybe there's something to burning them in. I'm curious to hear your thoughts after a couple days with them. As for being too...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
Truthfully from memory (it has been a long time since I tried the W4), the W40 are a bit different than the W4 and, I don't know, it's possible that they're clearer sounding. Though, it could be the company the W40 were in during the testing. I mean, that isn't the most resolved group. But to be...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
A couple of us at the office pooled our headphones together to see which would be closest to the P7. The aim was to try to find a similar sound signature and set me in the right direction. We had on hand the following: Westone W40, UE 600vi, Apple Ear Pods, Bose QuiteComfort 15, Beats Studio...- vinnievidi

IEMs that are most similar to B&W P7
ah, wise choice. I have my P7 for sale but am starting to think I should keep them for home use (will probably just end up buying another pair down the line, so why create the hassle). Not to make this a W40 thread, but how do you like them? I have to admit, I'm on the fence about them. Most of...- vinnievidi
