    Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread

Guys,   I was wondering if anyone one of you over here have used the HD 700 with a RSA Raptor? I know the HD 800 goes with it, so is my current 650. But I can't afford the former, and the latter does not have the soundstage I'd like. I'm looking to move up now.   Any ideas?

Count me out too Lecky - something cropped up and now I need to go elsewhere - after having no sleep. I'm truly sorry. There's always a next one, eh? And P4Z - I feel your pain my friend - right in my (currently) buzzing head.

I do feel rather bad that I haven't an amp to provide at this meet. I'll be bring along my ICs, and my laptop that has around 40gb of music. So I suppose, due to the lack of an amp in the chain - you guys can try your amps in the line with your headphone or mine (HD 650)

    Writers in Head-Fi

I was wondering my fellow Head-Fi(s) - how many of your are writers - or just those who write. Anything really. I'm often inspired by music to write, and by the diversity of music we hear in this forum, I can only imagine that others are too. So, how many of you write? Prose, poetry - or...

Absolutely floored by my new amp - RSA Raptor w/ Tube Rolling Impressions

Hehe that he was - but I always felt that he had lots to contribute. Hope the ban isn't permanent.

Absolutely floored by my new amp - RSA Raptor w/ Tube Rolling Impressions

Are these the long plate Mullards or the short ones? I know you said you like it with the HD800 - but is it as good a match as the 650s is for the Raptor? - the HD800 is next in my purchase list, and I wouldn't be able to get an amp for long, so I wonder if the Raptor will do for the time...

Absolutely floored by my new amp - RSA Raptor w/ Tube Rolling Impressions

I've been looking at this thread for quite long but haven't been able to fnd something conclusive - I just got my raptor - and i'm using it with Slyvania's Gold Brand/gold pins with a telefunken at the back for a HD 650. It's lovely, except that I find it a little too forward at times -...

A question about the Van Del Hul Optocoupler mk2 cable

well my first cable broke - and when I sent them in, the retailer sent me back a used one. But then when I got the new pair - the differences was there. Things seemed just a tad bit sweeter in the upper frequencies and a slightly larger soundstage. However, I don't know if this is due to the...
