1/ wood is an extremely good acoustic absorber   2/ The detox are okay, but they are not worth it   For the price ild get an aural exciter and and a pair of  ahem*  pioneer 2000   :D

more likely Distortion on one channel from your amp or your diaphragm may also be slightly venting "did you do any mods to your headphones?"  

A&H use the same drivers but the construction of the cans and the hinges are totally different

Rubbish noise cancelling Ive seen and heard better quality and sound for far less ex: pioneer 2000, philips oneill stretch "those things are tanks" WHO CARES about them being plastic? it' the sound quality that matters here and if you take good care of your head-gear thell last long

anyone have heard of the Allen & Heath Xone XD-53?? Tried a pair today, i find them better sounding than the AT 50s

Reading about the specs and hearing them in real are 2 complete different things ps: neodymium is the magnet the headphone uses

I use an EQ, they can handle the bass when overdriven but nothing else

Tried Beats "noise cancelling ones" the bass is nice, sounds warm, but mids are crap, high sounds a lill better but still no good Beats are all show and no go personally nothing can beat the price/sound quality of an hd668b sold my grado and my AT 50 and got myself 2 superluxes 661-668...

You say the most ridiculous things.. Just registered today I entitled to my own opinion up to you to like it or not i dont care. I use an eq and got  the best results with an sr125 

May be a junior headfier but im not an hi-fi noob just registered today, bringing you some of my engineering wisdom.   closed, bassy, cheaper:   AT 50s     For any tweaks i need i use an eq  

They are overpriced rubbish get yourself a grado
