    JVC HA-SZ2000/1000 Impressions Thread

I'm going to try these on my computer tomorrow and see how they sound. These don't seem to hit as hard as my Darth Beyers did though and they were only the V4 version.

So high gain with the the C5 at 100% and then control volume with the phone? I'll give it a shot and see how it goes, the only bad thing is my phone only has 15 steps of volume.

I'll give that a try, I was always under the impression that you're supposed to turn the phone volume all the way up and use the amp to control volume. I will definitely try that app and your method and see how it sounds. Thanks

Received my SZ2000's and Cayin C5 today. First the negatives, the wire is extremely short, the clamping force is really hard, and the stock pads are total garbage. They sound pretty good so far, the bass definitely hits hard with a little EQ and the Cayin C5 bass boost. My HM5 pads are coming...

I definitely agree about the pads, I put my XB1000 pads on my Pro 900's and they were hitting very hard and sounded completely different. I would love to hear Darth Beyers with those type of pads, or maybe some alpha, 77x, or HM5 pads.

By looking at the list, I'm guessing you've never tried Darth Beyers before.

OK, so I just snagged a used C5 off of Ebay for $106. Can't wait to hear how it all sounds, thanks HBB.

Any recommendations? I used to have a Burson Soloist with my Darth Beyers but I can't spend that type of money anymore. I need a cheap alternative, the cheaper the better.

    JVC HA-SZ2000/1000 Impressions Thread

Hi guys, I've been a long time member on this site but I recently got married and had 2 children so I've been away from here for quite some time and I'm ready to get back in the game. These headphones weren't even out when I left and I'm a basshead so I was ecstatic to hear there is new...

What happened to the Darth Beyers?

The Pro 900s were much too sibilant for me and the Darth Beyer bass goes unbelievably deep for a headphone.

What happened to the Darth Beyers?

Were those Darth Beyers version 1 or something? I had Pro 900s and V4 Darth Beyers and the Beyers blew the 900s away. I've been out of the loop for a while though and now I see he's up to V6 on the Darth Beyers, was there a V5 also? I'm wondering what the sound differences are.

POST PICS OF YOUR DARTH BEYERS

There's some sub $500 headphones I want to try, like the D5000, HE-400, Mad Dog and HD650 but I have to say I do think these V4's sound excellent. I know I ranked the LCD-2 higher on my list in the other thread but I can only go by memory because I don't have both to A-B them but to be fair the...

Yet the Pro 900 thread thrives and this one doesn't. I still think this is one of the best mods out now, and still up there with the best mods today.
