They are great! Anyone found a better set of buds for around the same price?

I've had mine for a long time and haven't had a problem... this week almost daily use. I did splice a iphone cord onto it to get the iphone control. I've had not problem with the cord either but I hate the iphone cord because it tangles easily. I love these buds. I am about to splice another...

I have 2 pair of PK3s that I modified to use the iphone cable... anyway I need more of the foam donuts supplied with the earbuds. Anyone know where I can find some? I bought some foam earbud pads and tried to cut a hole but It isn't the same.  BTW.. my PK3s are going on 2.5 years of almost daily...

They are ported. First that I have seen on an earbud.

I felt the same, but after a little burn-in, although I still use the donuts, I feel the bass is less intrusive. The treble is still recessed a bit with the foams on but the foams keep them in place while traveling, which is why I bought these. *edit* Also I should say that I hacked them...

Go with the KSC75s. Cheap and great sound.

I am using the yuin housings. I just soldered the iphone cable to the yuins.

I find the PK3s, although musical, a bit bass heavy. I've yet to hear the sibilance everyone is talking about... could be my source iphone 3gs (most mp3s > 192kb). My senn mx500 are brighter than the PK3s but have far less bass. I'm listening to them without foams because, to me, they accentuate...

No heat problems here. Using Pandora, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G.
