DailyTech - Report: Some iPhone 3G S Smartphones Overheating

Can anyone confirm that their touches/iphone 3g are getting hotter with the OS v3.0 ?

What about the 3GS?

My 3G has been about the same since I upgraded to 3.0. I mostly use the browser, calculator and a few apps, though. No proc intensive games.

Have wi-fi issues (and some playcount issues) with a Touch 2g (like many others), but no overheating issues.

No heat problems here. Using Pandora, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G.

Yeah, let's bump some old news, despite it's been said that the discoloration is due to a case, not overheating.

Well teh discoloration may be due to case, but that doesn't mean the iphone isn't overheating. There's been reports of people seeing that WARNING! TOO HOT! message more on the v3.0 then they did with v2.2

Or so people say. I just wanted to see what the experience of Head-fi users was.
