Sound Leakage
So I've decided to take the plunge into the open back planar world but have concerns about sound leakage due to where I work in an office and I don't want to disturb office mates. As a reference to how loud I listen to my headphones I'll choose one that probably everyone has, the Koss KPH30i. I...- QuantumRock

FiiO FD1 - 10mm 1DD IEM
There was some noise on the 3.5, more on the 4.4 when using these IEM's. But I've just about had it with the Fiio anyway. It likes to switch playback rates when I go from Spotify back to Amazon Music HD. If I do so, it reports the HD tracks as 44.1 instead of it's true quality. Not sure if it's...- QuantumRock

FiiO FD1 - 10mm 1DD IEM
Started using them on the 3.5 on both DAP's, bought a 4.4 cable and did notice a slightly higher level of white noise on the M11, quieted down somewhat on the DX160, still there though.- QuantumRock

Hifiman Sundara vs AKG K702
I know these 2 headphones are completely different technologies and therefore will provide differing sound profiles, but I've narrowed my next purchase down to either the Hifiman Sundara or the AKG K702. I will only be using a DAP (iBasso DX160 or Fiio M11) to drive these. Needing input from...- QuantumRock

FiiO FD1 - 10mm 1DD IEM
I get a slight white noise hiss when using them on both my DAP's (iBasso DX160 and Fiio M11). It is worse on the iBasso, but overall sounds better on it so it's my main source for these IEM's. I believe it's because these IEM's are so sensitive is the reason we are hearing the hiss. Like you...- QuantumRock

I own the Meze 99 Neo's. Having listened to both the Classics and Neo's, the Neo's are a little less warm. To me they extend the detail range of instrument speration more than the Classics, and they have a wonderful look to them as well. They are super comfortable. Cable mods can be hard to find...- QuantumRock

I've had the Hiby R5 (not the S version), iBasso DX160, and the Fiio M11 (not Pro version). Had problems with quality control on the Hiby R5. Screen came defective and they won't do anything about it. The line noise on mine was higher than the other 2. The Fiio M11 was nice and analytical...- QuantumRock

New member looking for help with choosing headphones
My vote would be for the Meze 99 Neo's or the Sundara's. The Meze's would be a little cheaper, and they sound amazing. I've seen a lot of people convert to Meze products after trying them.- QuantumRock

FiiO FD1 - 10mm 1DD IEM
I've had the FD1's about 2 weeks now and they are a definite improvement over my previous daily drivers. I needed something that wasn't expensive but sounded good for day-to-day walking about and working, and so far the FD1's fit that bill. They did need quite a bit of burn-In, about 30 hours...- QuantumRock

iBasso DX160 - The listening experience only gets better and better. ******NEW FW 1.09 - link 1st page.******
Just noticed the NOS filter setting on my DX160. Can you explain how it is different from the other filter options? Google searches direct me to NOS DAC's and nothing concerning the DX160. Thank You.- QuantumRock

Fiio M11 Help
Hoping I can get some help with the sampling rate being reported when using the Fiio M11. I could have sworn from the beginning the Fiio M11 showed a higher sampling rate or "Device Capability" in Amazon Music HD, but now no matter the source sampling rate, the app is reporting the "Device...- QuantumRock

So this could probably be posted elsewhere, but this thread seems to have traction and I desperately need some opinions. Looking at the DX160 and the Fiio M11. I know their differences technically, but what about the sound? I mainly stream Amazon Music HD, do not use the built-in music app at...- QuantumRock

If you're like me, the term audiophile really doesn't apply too well. I love music, love hearing all the minute details of the recording, and love listening with great gear. However, I do not sit and pick apart songs or the gear. I did that at one time and it felt more like a job listening to...- QuantumRock
