Can you recommend me a good mobile audio source?

Please note that I do not own the Shanling M2s, but have been looking closely at it. nmatheis did a review of it (on YouTube) and it appears that it does have replay gain!! How good it works I don't know, but (generally) only rockboxed players have had it up to now. I'm interested in this...

Updated: HifiMAN HM-801 Portable Music Player Preorder

Although I don't post much, I've followed both this thread and the one in the Portable Audio section since they started. Woody - your last post has prompted me to be "honest with myself", and I want to share those reasons for other readers who may be recent to this topic, and have only read...

Updated: HifiMAN HM-801 Portable Music Player Preorder

Here's hoping I'm in the first 60-70 as well, but as I ordered in early August I think I'll be pushing my luck!!! However, I do have a question regarding the ordering Nankai. I didn't see an option for specifying the headamp module that you want. And forgot to add a note when I paid using...

Updated: HifiMAN HM-801 Portable Music Player Preorder

Okay - I've bitten the bullet and just ordered one. I'm just too intrigued by this product, and for once, the early adopters are being rewarded. (And I am not normally one of these!!) Yes I struggled trying to justify the cost, but here's my logic: (1) I won't need to buy a D10 to go with...

MP3 Players With Dedicated Line Out?

Well if we're allowed to mention old players, don't forget the classic Jukebox 3 from Creative. Although it didn't have "a" lineout .... it had 2!!! If you can get hold of one though, it isn't very portable ... more luggable. Still love mine though.

Should I Get the Cowon D2 or D2+?

ernieBob - Not sure whether it's in all countries, but I'm pretty sure that the D2+ doesn't come with an AC adaptor here in Oz. I prefer the look of the new D2+, but I would also want an AC adaptor which would make it approx $50 more than the standard D2. I'm still deciding whether it's worth...

Any ideas on acquiring a Trekstor Vibez in Australia?

There's a link to the ozzie distributor on their website. However, the flash based ones are not available anywhere in the world yet, let alone here. And I don't think there's any of the original microdirve ones available new anymore. If you here any news, let me know. If it comes out soon...

DAPReview: TrekStor vibez flash up to 32 GB

What's the latest on Trekstor actually releasing the flash based Vibez? I have a sony a728 that sounds great, but I really miss the OTG playlisting features of my old Creative Jukebox 3. Of all the flash players out at the moment, the Trekstor looks like the top contender from this...

Sansa Fuze or Cowon D2 Portable!

Going through the same dilemna myself. I read the previous thread as well and both players have their pluses and minuses. My main concerns with the D2 are in using the touch screen, although most people seem to get used to it fairly quickly. I also wonder how the D2 will sound with revealing...
