What is the best lineout you have encountered on a DAP?

Taking into account overall SQ, difference in sound through lineout e.g bass rolloff...etc etc

Buy iRiver E10, set volume to maximum, turn off EQ and SRS, and enjoy!

There is nothing special about the line-outs in other players, believe me.

I agree with Goldenpig3888.

The Sony NW-HD5 gives you the choice of either a headphone out or a dedicated line-out and boy what a line-out it is.

Blows away every other DAP I have ever heard when pairing it with a headphone amp.

Even after all these years the Sony NW-HD5 is still top dog.

D2, no EQ, volume set to 49 out of 50. Works for lots of people on this forum, as well as myself. Mine's currently hooked up to my Predator.

Am I missing something here? Why would setting the volume of the DAP to ANYTHING affect the output of the line out?? Surely the DAP volume is irrelevant?

He was talking about using the headphone-out to try and simulate true line-out, by turning off EQs and tweaking the volume. Apparently the best option for players that only have headphone-out.
