I was just wondering what the best ear buds out there are. I use my brothers shure se110s, and to be honest, the IEMs are a pain in the ear, and sound crappy unless shoved all the way in. so what are some great regular earbuds? maybe in price ranges like
around 50-100

then 100+

Sennheiser MX550 or Yuin PK3 for < $50
But for the best, it's either OK1 or PK1.

I've got PK2's on the way. One question for the PK1 proponents. Isn't it a hassle to have a headphone amp? If you are going to lug an amp around, why not just use full sized headphones?

I power them directly from my iAudio7 and they're fantastic.

A few reasons:

Some people prefer non-isolating phones when walking round. The PK1's also compare pretty favourably to a lot of full size cans in the same price range.

I personally only use an amp when I'm stationary and purely listening to the music with minimal other distractions, and the main reason I'll reach for these ahead of the DT990s - when it's HOT. I just love 'em in the warmer months (and it gets pretty hot where I live).

Cheers
Paul
