What will enhance sound the most that I can make myself and will cost less than $25-30?

Man, you really aren't giving us much to work with. For $20 I would toss those Koss cans and trade up to Senn 202s. Then you could get a Behringer UCA202 for around $20 if you scope some eBay deals. Then for another $25-30 and you can find a decent Altoids-tin CMOY and you have a damn good...

    Cheap DJ Headphones

Superlux 661 or Samson SR 850 is definitely your best bang/buck headphone under $50. The only gripe you might have is that they're not really true DJ headphones (you cant swivel the cups and put the phone on your shoulder). Monoprice 8323 is a really good option at $25. Then there's AKG K81DJ >...

NEED ADVISE BEYER DT770 80 OHMS OR AUDIO TECHNICA M50?

I don't have much confidence in the E7 alone as to gain. If you are using it with E9 you are good but by itself it won't let you crank your sound up to 11 so to speak, the power wasn't satisfying even with 32ohm cans or IEMs. Take a look at E7/E9 then the Audinst MX-1 and even Nuforce uDAC2...

    Good headphones for gaming?

Quote:   Yup. Everybody raves about AD-700s but the bass frankly sucks. 50mm drivers on the Samson gives a very nice punch and not too boomy. Samson is the real deal.

    Best Budget Headphones

Don't waste your money on crap. If you are going to use it as a desktop listening can and you game you want big soundstage and good imaging for positional accuracy. And you need bass. Would not recommend really recommend anything Koss except Porta Pros, their bass tends to be crap. Look at the...

    Recommendation for a newbie

Sony MDRs are a reliable choice but boring and flat. V-Modas are good. Sennheiser HD 25 are really fun and probably the most balanced portable closed can you can get and at 32 ohm you definitely don't need an amplifier, and you can drive it from laptops, iPods or Sansa Clips. Regardless of which...

What headphone + dac/amp to get?

the AiAiAis TMA-1 are good for pop/dance. at that price range you could also look at V-Moda M-80s or or Sennheiser HD 25 (my personal favorite). nuforce uDAC2 DAC/AMP for the laptop and E11 is best bang/buck portable amp for your iPhone (with LOD cable). You could also do E7/E9, but E7 portable...

Headphone Recommendations for a Newbie: The Rise of a New Conscience

I would wait and get the HD 25. For portability, comfort, durability, all around balanced and quality sound. You could really use those as a portable (perfect for noisy environs/DJing as well) and general-purpose listening headphone for a long time.

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

HD 25 is the best overall headphone under $200. But unless portability is a factor, it's not superlative by any sense beyond being the most balanced, or the most consistent. It is comfortable, but I've found it somewhat fatiguing during very long sessions. Bass is punchy, tight and controlled...

Good Pair of Headphones for under $200

I can vouch for the HD 25s, they handle rock and metal with aplomb--punchy tight bass and a very balanced and versatile sound signature. I had Grados and they were competent for rock and metal but a bit fatiguing with harsh highs and underwhelming bass. Also flat pads on many models are VERY...
