First CIEM recommendation - bass/violin/vocals king?
Making my first foray into custom IEMs and hoping to expand my knowledge base (all I really know about is Westone and 64 audio) Key points - Strong bass, great vocals (mostly female), violins should make me cry - low profile/isolation: my roommates like to parody hyenas. I don't have any ear...- NemesisQ

New 3-way hybrid BA+DD IEM - LZ A2 (including DD A1)
Did you adjust or still trouble? I actually think depending on setup it's very easy to drive these weird leading to sibilance at higher volumes. For example I used neutron player since my old phone/UM3X headphones, the sibilance when listening on my phone really starting to bug me so I...- NemesisQ

New 3-way hybrid BA+DD IEM - LZ A2 (including DD A1)
Me and my brother just got ours, so far out of the box they sound great. I'm not sure they are better than the UM Pro 30s I had before for me, but they are at least as good. The AKG550s I used in the meantime just disgust me now. I can listen to my favorite songs again without tearing them...- NemesisQ

New 3-way hybrid BA+DD IEM - LZ A2 (including DD A1)
If I wanted to buy tips (in advance of my delivery) on Amazon or something, what should I be searching for? Is anything going to work with these or do I need a specific type? Just want to try out some different types for comfort/sound, as I've never experimented with tips much.- NemesisQ

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
I have owned both(UM3Xrc and Pro 30), though not at the same time. It's been a while but I recall thinking the Pro 30 looked a lot cheaper in terms of the plastic. Of course looks and actual quality don't always correspond, and the cheap feeling material probably contributes to how incredibly...- NemesisQ

New 3-way hybrid BA+DD IEM - LZ A2 (including DD A1)
That is really nice to hear. I was considering buying Pro 50s before I ordered these. Really hard to find direct comparisons between flagship IEMs and the chinese brands. And people are saying these sound better than the Deltas, damn I'm excited.- NemesisQ

New 3-way hybrid BA+DD IEM - LZ A2 (including DD A1)
After researching 64 Audio U3s and Aurisonics new Harmony for days trying to pick one I pulled the trigger on these after about an hour of reading T_T. These are replacing UM Pro 30s(broken so I can't directly compare), will come back to this thread to post my opinion when I get them. ...- NemesisQ

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
Damn right Psyren. TBH it is pretty scary considering buying one of these IEMs...I want to make a one-time purchase and it seems there isn't much in the way of direct comparison between these and the traditional brands(high-end anyway). Afraid of ending up with something worse than my dead...- NemesisQ

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
Was recommended to post here from another thread...and I'm glad I was as there seems to be a huge number of alternative IEMs I've never considered. I'm upgrading from Westone UM Pro 30s. I was comparing the 1964 Ears U3 vs the UM Pro 50.... Is there anything here that I should consider as...- NemesisQ

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
Most likely, the 1964 U3. I think your post turned me away from the Pro 50s. I really think what I'm looking for is a different sound signature(certainly not darker than the Pro 30s). That said the U3 is a hell of a lot different than the V8s you mentioned (price too). I've read great things...- NemesisQ

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
I'm upgrading from Pro 30s and I'm considering the Pro 50 as a natural upgrade but the build quality has me scared. I tend to focus on female vocals, violin, drums and guitar in music. I've only ever used the Pro 30s in terms of high-end IEMs and I did like them a lot, certain tracks did seem...- NemesisQ

Review: 1964 Ears V3 triple driver custom IEM (updated 10/24/12)
This might be a long shot, but I wonder if anyone reading this thread has been able to compare the Westone UM Pro 30 or 50 against the V3/A3/U3. I've had the UM3X and then UM Pro 30 for a while and I loved them, but felt they were lacking on certain songs. Trying to decide on something to...- NemesisQ

Comparison: FiiO X3 vs. iBasso DX50
I have a feeling this is a stupid question, but I'm currently looking for a new DAC to replace my busted Fiio E17. I have UM PRO 30s and heard the iBasso line pairs nicely with them.... So, if I get the iBasso DX90 or DX50, can I use them like a USB sound card (the way I use the E17 to...- NemesisQ
