Beauty is in the ear of the beholder I like the sound of my E500 much better with my UM56 than with all other universal tips. The sound seem more immediate and clearer and the comfort is far superior.

FM reception on the Iriver Clix is excellent.

The u3 from iaudio has terrible FM reception. The best reception belongs to Clix-loud and clear.

The UM2 hissed alot more than E500, but you are right, they both hiss: I can live with the E500 because it is much less. With the UM2 I had to use a level attenuator to make the hiss less noticable. The Um56s deliver the sound deeper into my ear canal therfore I can turn the volume down a bit...

I guess 3 hours from when empty, but mine seems to be always full since it is connected to my pc regularly for music downloads. The battery life has not been an issue yet: it is rated for 25 hrs, however not likely. I just wish it was 4 gig instead of 2.

PC can be off. The cool factor of Clix is pretty high! Sound is excellent: on par with Iaudio U3. However, no playback for lossless. Works really well with Urge service which I am trying out.
