Audio Technica's new APTX HD BT headphone ATH-DSR9BT

So after having owned these for about 9 months, I wrote up probably the biggest review on the internet about these. With regards to aptx HD vs wired, I noticed very little difference. It felt like the soundstage was a bit wider when wired, but I don't think I would have noticed any difference if...

Audio-Technica ATH-DSR9BT/ATH-DSR7BT Bluetooth Headphones (With Digital Drive Technology That Replaces a Traditional DAC)

As for the 9BT, the bass quantity is a tad larger than that on the HD600. I heard the HD600 and HD650 a while back, but I recall comparing them to the ATH-M50 and found the M50 to have harder/stronger bass. I'm using this as the reference for comparison since the 9BT has about as much bass as...

Audio-Technica ATH-DSR9BT/ATH-DSR7BT Bluetooth Headphones (With Digital Drive Technology That Replaces a Traditional DAC)

You mean the DSR7 right? Cause the DSR9 has very clean, hard hitting bass. It sometimes gets a little overwhelming for me during hip hop music since I'm used to the Sennheiser HD555's still.

Bluetooth IEMs + protrudes little enough that I can wear a beanie or earmuffs over them

I am looking for bluetooth IEMs that:   - are between $10-$250 - have a very, very small footprint--specifically I want to be able to wear earmuffs over them without pushing them too deep into my ear - have a 6+ hour battery life - preferably foam tips   Do such IEMs exist yet?

Recommendations for a beginner audiophile headphone (under 200)

Audio Technica ATH-M50X. Give them a try. Unlike the above two you listed, you won't need to invest in an amp just yet. It's also cheaper than the above two and has a closed back.

Audio Technica's new APTX HD BT headphone ATH-DSR9BT

No idea, but I received my pair the other day. I don't have a microUSB lightning cable to try it out with though

Just received my pair the other day. Stay tuned for a -really- big review. I have a lot to say about these.

Headphones you regretted buying the most

I gotta say I have the same experience as you on the AD900X. Have you tried the A900X? It is significantly more fun sounding IMO.

What are your favorite headphones that you use for sleeping with?

Ah that's a good point! I totally forgot that I posted this into the full size cans section but actually I was okay with either kind.

What are your favorite headphones that you use for sleeping with?

Not in that way!   What headphones do you think would be ideal for wearing to sleep? Why is that?   Budget is under $300 USD. I think I should prioritize comfort over anything else for this purpose. Sound is important but comes second to comfort. Any advice?   Thanks in advance!

    Post your computer specs!~

Whoa, it's been nearly 9 years since I first made this thread. When we look back at the beginning posts it's incredible how fast technology has evolved. I used to think my setup was good.. hahaha...ha..

Audio Technica ATH-A900X Discussion Thread (Formerly A-900X Review)

I can't compare them anymore since I no longer own them, but I've heard both headphones and the A900X's are a clear upgrade. Wider soundstage and less sibilant will be the two main differences.
