Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
My SpinFit CP360 arrived today. The core barely fits over the nozzle, but it does fit. It's very snug, so there shouldn't be any problem with these coming loose. I've only been listening a few minutes, but the sibilance is already bothering me a bit. I think it's worse with DSEE HX turned on. I...- Muero

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
As I understand it, active noise cancellation only works on lower frequencies. On over-ear headphones, higher frequencies are blocked by the padding around the ear cups (noise isolation), but the ear cups can't block low frequencies. But with ear cups (noise isolation) and ANC combined...- Muero

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
Thanks for the info. I just ordered the SpinFit CP360 to see if they work. I'm hoping I can find some tips that work for me soon. If not, Best Buy supposedly has a short return period on these. I was excited to try the hybrid tips that Sony makes, but for me, they ended up being the worst...- Muero

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
I read every word on the FiiO BTR3 page, and it never mentions anything about being able to output anything over Bluetooth. All the text and photos show it being used as a Bluetooth receiver only. The specs say its 3.5 mm jack is for "headphone output" not input. The parameters grid says the...- Muero

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
I got mine yesterday after pre-ordering from Best Buy. Does anyone have any suggestions for foam tips? The tips that Sony included didn't work at all for me. They kept coming loose, and I even had one of the earbuds fall out of my ear while wearing them. I had some Comply TrueGrip Pro tips...- Muero

1964 Ears
My 1964 Ears order arrived today. I was having trouble with head-fi's post composer, or else I would have had this up sooner (I ended up having to switch to the "Basic editor" to get anything to work right.) I got: -custom sleeves for Westone IEM -custom sleeves for Apple dual-driver IEM...- Muero

If you're still in your refit period, you might want to be 100% sure they're perfect. Customs are an expensive purchase, and rather permanent, and from what I've heard isolation should be significantly better on customs than universals. If their customer service is as good as you say, I would at...- Muero

1964 Ears
Quote: I asked this question before I placed my order, and Aleksey said, "I’d say about one out of 10 orders need a refit." It looks like UniqueMelodyAus was using exact figures from actual data, while Aleksey was just guesstimating, so it's probably best to not read too much into this.- Muero

Is WAV to Apple Lossless a mistake?
Here's a good way to use EAC to encode to Apple Lossless. Download iTunesEncode.exe from here. Read this guide on how to set up EAC. (It looks long and it's separated over six pages, but it's simple to follow and doesn't take very long.) Instead of following that guide's instructions for the...- Muero

iPhone questions
As for your size concerns, the iPhone has the exact same height as the Bold. The iPhone is smaller in depth (0.48 inches vs 0.60 inches). The iPhone is also smaller in width (2.4 inches vs 2.6 inches). So the iPhone is as small or smaller than the Bold in every dimension. A review of the Bold...- Muero

iPhone questions
Why would have to have it unlocked? Why would it cost $800? If your parents are getting it for you anyway, why do you care how much it costs?- Muero
